We stay at Courtyard Marriotts at least 20 nights a year and love nearly all of them. We hated this one.

When we arrived in our two room suite the a/c units were on in both rooms but fans were running on "low" and room was about 78 degrees. Went to the front desk and they sent "maintenance supervisor" to check it out. She agreed the units were not cooling correctly and would have them replaced. A maintenance contractor was called to bring the units over and we thought everything was fine.

Went to the Ranger game and came back to a warm room with no new a/c units. We called the front desk and asked about it and she said the maintenance contractor said the units were cooling and did not need to be replaced. Since when is it a contractors job to make this decision? Never. They are told what to do, not to offer and opinion and then leave and refuse to come back.

We asked to be moved and both rooms we were offered had the same problem, so it is apparent they are going cheap on a/c units. We asked them what they could do and they said "Thats about it" and we could take the rooms or stay somewhere else. It was nearly midnite now and I was not happy with the attitude or the fact they did not do what they said they would regarding replacing the units.

Called a Springhill Suites we stay at in Ft. Worth and they were happy to help us. We even got the exact room request we wanted and it was after midnite! Dont waste your time or money at this Courtyard unless its in the winter when you dont need a/c.

We really like this hotel for many reasons! We stay here every time we take in a Texas Rangers' Game (3-5 times a year). If you get a ground level room, there are sliding glass doors that open towards the parking lot. Some may not like this feature, but since we travel with kids... we love it! We can back up right in front of our room and unload the car. You have to go in one of the main entrances of the hotel for keyed access but there are several to choose from.

The customer service at this hotel is always wonderful! They bend over backwards to make you happy. The breakfast is quite nice however a bit pricey if you don't get the roomrate than includes it (well worth the "stay for breakfast" rate). There is a great Shady Oaks BBQ right across the street.

My kids absolutely love the indoor/outdoor pool! They love going back and forth between the two. It is really unique and they always ask if we are staying at the hotel with the "cool pool."

The beds are quite comfortable. We did notice one bed had much softer sheets than the other and should have requested a linen change... we just switched beds with the kids as they didn't seem to mind.

We do not walk to the Ball Park and have not tried the Trolley. We always take our own car as it can often be too hot to walk.

We stayed at the Courtyard at the Ballpark in Arlington for two nights and thought that it was good, though not perfect. As the hotel is all non-smoking, I hadn’t expected a problem with this but our room had obviously originally been a smoking room and the smell still lingered on. Also I had requested a room on an upper floor but we were put on the ground floor. Having just arrived at the end of a long day’s trans-Atlantic travelling, I was disappointed with what we got but we didn’t bother to go back to the front desk and try and get a different room. Having said all that, the room was a decent size and clean and the bed was really comfortable.

Our rate included breakfast which was pretty good and the service was really friendly. There are several restaurants within a very short walk of the hotel for lunch or dinner.

The pool was fine although it’s a slightly odd design as it’s half indoors and half out. The exercise room was pretty limited with two treadmills and one bike (no weights machine) and the TV in there was broken. If you want to access the internet and don’t have your own computer then there are two PCs in the lobby area that you can use.

We stayed at the Courtyard because it was close to the ballpark. Having said that, it was 95 degrees when we were there and we didn’t fancy the walk (the ball park is probably about 10-15 minutes walk) so we took the Arlington trolleybus that runs between the local hotels and the ballpark. This service is free to hotel residents (get a voucher from the front desk) and was excellent. You are picked up outside the hotel front entrance and taken in air conditioned comfort to the ballpark (on a bit of a circuitous route via most of the other hotels!). The bus leaves the ballpark 15 minutes after the end of the game.

We paid USD 129 for our room and I felt that it was decent value. Not everything was perfect but I would happily stay there again.

I had to go to Arlington, TX on business and my company booked this for me. They use Courtyards most of the time and I can see why. The room was lovely, clean and had fairly good lighting. The linens, pillows etc were great! I was really tired after arriving in the middle of a tornado, dealing with the airline that lost my luggage, and just trying to find the hotel. Beware when you're driving - that whole area is congested with Six Flags, Texas Ranger stadium, a water park and lots of shopping takes a good navigator when you first arrive. They have "service roads" to get from one place to another. The staff were kind and helpful. They gave me the necessary toothpaste, brush, deodorant etc. and good directions but there's a WalMart just around the corner just in case you need something and they're open all night! The breakfast wasn't free but they have a good selection. I was charged a few dollars for a continental breakfast since I only had cereal and tea. It's more for the buffet. Luggage arrived in 30 hours, the sun came out and the meetings went well. I sat out by a beautiful indoor/outdoor pool and relaxed. Good trip and the nice hotel helped!

Large, clean rooms with very comfortable beds. Efficient, friendly, helpful staff. Rooms could be a little more soundproof, but that's not all that unusual. If you have feather allergies, they use feather pillows and a feather comforter between two top sheets, so beware.
At $85/night (plus taxes for a total of $98) using the AAA rate it is a bargain.
Recommended.
