“Great family fun with rides, great scenery and good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

We had a fun day at Six Flags over spring break. Visiting in the spring is great because the weather is so much more mild than the summer. There were lots of rides for all age levels and lines weren't too long.
The flash pass is a great idea but it really adds to the price of the day. We made our kids have old-fashioned fun and wait in line.
My husband says it was mostly because we were starving but the Johnny Rocket burger was DELICIOUS! I was expecting the usual overpriced underwhelming fare.
I hate all the extras that your kids can't resist and seem like should be included in your admission price like some kind of bungee swing. Annoying but not too many of that kind of ride - although I would rather there be none.
Midway games were everywhere. Workers yelling at you to play- huge cute stuffed animal and crazy giant cowboy hat prizes. Kids can't resist so I'd recommend you set a budget and really look them over before you play. Do you really want a bear that you have to drag around all day and will take up half your room?
Be sure to get tix online - parking too. Buying them 3 days in advance saves even more $$$. The annual pass is a good deal too.

“All you could want in an amusement park But.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

We went to Six flags over Spring break. We couldn't have asked for better weather, which after much dread actually made the experience pleasurable. There are a lot of great coaster choices. Definitely not a one of those one or two coaster parks. The lines are long as always to be expected for the big rides. But they weren't bad at all for the less daring rides.Which there are plenty to choose from as well. We managed to ride about one ride every 45 mins which is not bad. But I think the fast track passes really hurt the park, It is really discriminatory to say if you can afford to pay double you can ride any ride you want with out having to wait in line.Which makes the people who pay regular ticket prices wait even longer especially with the new consecutive rides option. It is economic discrimination.

“Fun way to spend the day - but know a few things...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

So, this six flags is pretty awesome. There are some amazing rides - especially the Freeze and the Texas Giant - which is a modified wooden rollercoaster - its now metal, so its a smooth ride, but has that feel of a wooden one. Its fast and fun.
A few pointers though - buy your ticket in advance - at the door is crazy expensive. You can buy online or at a AAA office if you have a membership (good for same day or next day decisions).
If you have the money and love rollercoasters, the speedpass is a bit of a cost, but so worth it. If its a busy day, this pass will save you hours of wait.
A great time to visit is actually in the fall (October) or in the winter / early spring. Summer is really hot and pretty crowded.

“No Where Else in the World I'd like to be.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Six Flags is a great place to go and have a great time. Either as a couple or with family! I've been going since I was 5 years old and I go and take my family now. Shared and cherished memories are made. Me and my husband even sneek away for just us time. LOVE IT!
