“Clean room, not the best front desk service”

The room was exactly what we expected for price paid. Clean, but nothing fancy. Microwave and frig in room were clean. One problem, was in the effort to save energy, the a/c was not on in our room when we arrived. It was 90 the day we arrived, so our room was very warm. It took until after midnight for the room to finally be tolerable. Then, around midnight, our phone rang. It was the front desk. One of the members in our party did confirm room with credit card, and they called me wanting to know if he was coming, and could I please call him. I did, and called them back with his arrival time. I guess it was nice of them, but could they not have called me way before midnight? Checking out was a bit of a difficulty. When checking in, we were told we could get a late check out for an additional $5.00. Then that turned into $15.00, and finally was changed yet again to $5.00 per hour.

And the pool is about the size of a king size bed!

We were had booked rooms for the next two wknds (6 rooms each wknd) . ( we play sports in the area). Around 5:00 pm on day of arrival, our games were cancelled. We had not yet checked in, and it was before the usual 6:00pm cancellation deadline. We have 6 rooms booked at this hotel. I called to cancel our room, we would not be needing it after all. I was then told we would be PAYING A 50% CANCELLATION FEE! WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? We have been looking for a hotel to stay in as we are frequently in the area, and thought maybe we had found it. We are still feuding with them as to the charges. But, we will NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN.

This was the most horrible experience ever. We were moved to three different rooms before we FINALLY got one in which the air conditioner worked. When we received an air conditioned room, we attempted to exit the room to swim, and the door handle broke from the inside leaving us stuck inside our room. We were them moved pool side to a nicer room. However, the floor felt like nothing more than carpet of slats. Every foot or foot and a half, the floor would give way considerable. We were afraid our children would fall through. To top it all off, the construction workers working on the motel busted out my windshield and became combative with my husband and myself. Our trip to this hotel ended up with four rooms, all unsatisfactory, a 911 call, and a police report. We were discounted 75% on ONE NIGHT stay ONLY....Stay somewhere else... We should have.

This hotel gave us the best value in 20 years of travelling the USA. Location is great to visit both Dallas and Fort Worth plus many restaurants and shops nearby. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Fridge, microwave and coffeemaker supplied plus free wifi and cable. Interior corridors and free breakfast. Rate $60 for senior/aarp. Have no complaints whatsoever - well done Days Inn Arlington.

I stay at Cendant/Wyndam hotels to build trip reward points. I have stayed at all of the Days Inn Arlington hotels and think this Days Inn by Copper Street & I20 is the best.

Very new looking hotel with great (beds) rooms and close to large mall and restaurants.
