“Loved the Trolly”

My boyfriend and I went to the hotel about 1 1/2 weeks ago. We were only staying at the hotel for one night, but the amenities make you feel like you need to stay for longer to use everything. (kitchen w/ dishwasher/microwave)
We enjoyed the refrigerator to keep out left-overs from Boston's good and our bottled water cold.
The staff was friendly, as expected.
The trolly service was great for rides to and from Six Flags. (They offer pickup/dropoff services at the ballpark and waterpark as well)
Our room seemed clean and tidy like it should be.
We did see something not so great when we woke up the next morning. There was a very large cockroach on the bathroom floor!
We told the receptionist at the front desk, but he did not offer any discounts or coupons.
We will not stay at that particular hotel again, but there are plenty to choose from in the area with the same great trolly services.

“Fantastic stay @ Candlewood”

Candlewood Suites - Arlington

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff treated my entire crew as family. The Candlewood Cabinet is well stocked and very clean. They offer complementary guest laundry with machines that work very well. They offer a social event once a week with free BBQ and free beer and sodas. And best of all the price is extremely fair for the amenities. There is no pool but its a 1/4 mile to Six Flags

“Great value”

My online research found this hotel to have the best rate for a location central in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metro area.
The location was surprisingly quite, despite being so close to the intersection of I-30 and SR-360. Even with the windows open at night, you couldn't hear the traffic.
The staff was great, and the laundry and mini-convenience store was a nice touch. A free trolley ride to Six Flags would be a great plus for families.
Our room was a little small, but the bed was good, the shower was strong, and the kitchenette was nice.
Boston's Pizza, a cool sports pub and good pizza place, is a short walk away and is a great place to hang out.
The hotel parking is decent, even for larger vehicles if the place isn't too busy. I parked a 50-footer there every night for two weeks and always had a spot to get into, and usually quite easily.
I don't have any experience at the other nearby hotels, which all look nice, but I have no reason not to pick this place on my next visit to this area.

“Our Shuttle Driver was RIGHT!”

Candlewood Suites is definitely a great place, in many ways! We planned our trip to SIx Flags (2 moms and 3 boys) and decided to stay here because of the location and price. We got two suites and when I did the original booking, the wrong type of suite was booked for me and the manager did a GREAT job of accommodating us to the right type of room. Not only that, the rate was very good for what we got. Another great thing we found is the location. We were a mile from Six Flags, but this hotel is off the beaten path and not on the major freeways or streets, so it was very quiet, which is SO nice after being around TONS of crowds for 12 hours straight!

Another HUGE bonus for us was the free shuttle that picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off at Six Flags. We were one of the first stops and by the time we got to the second stop (The Hilton) the bus was completely full and so the rest of the hotels along the way had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the next shuttle. I was SO glad we didn't stay at any of those other places! Since the shuttles stop running at 10 PM, we had to use another form of transportation to get back to the hotel, since we were attending a concert there that ended at 11 PM, so the hotel gave us a card for a taxi service that was FABULOUS! We got to ride in a Lincoln Towncar for about the same price as a regular old taxi, but was much nicer, and she was there within 5 minutes of calling, which was great since we were all SO tired!
On our way back to the hotel today from Six Flags, the shuttle driver said we picked the BEST hotel in the area because of the location and the quiet street it's on. He said, "believe me, I know", and he certainly did because we got to see several of the other places on the ride back from Six Flags, and while they were all nice, they were right off the freeway or feeder roads.

We will most definitely stay here the next time we go to Six Flags. In fact, my friend already booked her next stay for a couple of weeks when she goes on a family trip there. The staff were all really, really helpful and nice, and we requested a late check-out, which they allowed, but ended up not using. Also, my bed was REALLY comfy, with soft sheets and a down pillow. A great place for families or professionals. They have a work out facility and a convenience store where you use the "honor" system. This really helped us, because we bought our water bottles from there at a reasonable price instead of buying the expensive ones from Six Flags.

My wife and I stayed here over the labor day weekend along with another couple, we rented two rooms, purchased through Priceline at the price of $43 / night. Rack rate was around $70, heck of a deal!
The hotel is close to I-30 & hwy 360, but noise is not a problem as it is back a few blocks from both highways, but still close enough for easy access.
The rooms are nice with a functional kitchen, a full size fridge and a small (2 burner) stove and a microwave, along with pots & pans and plates and utinsels and a dishwasher to clean it all up. No ice machine, instead the refrigerator has an icemaker, handy when your not completely dressed and want some ice. The room was very clean, and even though it was a smoking room, did not smell of smoke. One thing that was different, was the energy saving HVAC system. When the room is empty for 15 minutes, the A/C shuts down, or at least goes to a higher temp, then when you return it starts back up, no problem there, but it seemed to work the same way during the night. I got up during the night to make some movement the sensor could detect, so the room could cool down some. There is a small gym downstairs, but no pool. There is also complementary laundry and a sort of conveinence store near the lobby. Also free high speed wired internet access which worked well.
I would gladly stay here again if in the area.
