“Really nice!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

It had been a while since I had stayed at this hotel. Wow....what a nice surprise! The hotel has been remodeled and the rooms have been updated. Definitely a great hotel at a great price! The staff was helpful and friendly and the location was so convenient.

My wife & I travel a great deal. We stay in many very nice places. Some may have fancier rooms and entrys. Others may have grander buildings and amenities. However, through all of our travels, we have never stayed in a more completely pleasurable establishment. aside from the excelland rooms, superior location, cleanliness and sense of security, the people of Candlewood Suites - Arlington made this the BEST STAY EVER. Every person from the General Manager to the young ladies who took care of our rooms, were friendly beyond anything we have ever experienced. Most all places neet and greet, but here, I bieleve each person was sincerely interested in us having a pleasurable stay. We had a group of 10 in our party, and each one of us came away with the same feeling.

I can not recommend high enough this establishment and the employees.

We stayed here to attend the Cowboy Classic NCAA football game. We arrived late on Friday and the check in was quick. The front desk staff was quick to respond to our inquiries about a late dinner, and their suggestions were right on. Although we didn't need it for such a short stay, we were impressed with the concession area and the "honor" system they used for purchasing. Everyone we dealt with was positive, accommodating, and we would be happy to stay here again! Freda was great and should be commended for above and beyond service.

We stayed here for a Rangers game. It was sold out due to the game but it didn't feel like it was sold out. The hotel is located tucked back behind the main street and is a bit hard to find. There isn't much within walking distance by so this location would only be advisable if you had a car or drove up there. It is very close to Six Flags, Ballpark at Arlington, and Cowboys Stadium. There are restauarants close to the restaurant. The check in was easy and quick. The hotel is in good condition and clean. We stayed on the first floor. The room has a kitchenette with a few dishes, a dishwasher, sink, microwave and a two buner stove. The kitchen area has a laminate wood floor that was clean. The bathroom is pretty spacious and was clean. The bathroom sink was a little shallow which caused water to splash a lot. The bathtub was good with enough hot water and good water pressure. The room had a large desk/small dining table that was all integrated into one piece. It was adequate for eating on and doing work. There was both Wi-fi and an ethernet connection. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft. I really liked the 42" flat screen TV. I wish there were more channels on it and if I was there long term it would be boring having that few channels. The AC is very loud and rattles a bit. There was a wall thermostat for the AC but it didn't work in our room so I used the control on the actual AC unit even though the instructions told you to use the thermostat. As the hotel was sold out there was some noise from all the people milling about. I think a higher floor would have been quieter. The hotel isn't extremely luxurious but it is clean and affordable. I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms would be quieter.

I stayed there long enough for the front desk to learn my name! Rooms are updated and clean. the free laundry on site was nice. I used the grills outside to cook dinner a time or two! Overall nice place and I will return!

Great and helpful staff that helped with everything from where to get tickets to arranging transportation via the shuttle. The location is near Six Flags, the stadiums, etc. Many families were checked in but it was quiet with few distractions. They have a very usable fitness facility which was a pleasant surprise. Well stocked pantry. Cable selection was a bit limited but the internet speed was fast and they had a good movie selection for the DVD player.

Room Tip: As in all family stay type places try to be on the top floor to avoid the sound of young running fee...

Found some last minute tix to Ranger's ball game, needed a place for a couple of nights to finish off vacation. Our usual stay had no available rooms, so we took a shot with Candlewood, very nice surprise. First the bad, no swimming pool, I never get in it, just felt weird about a hotel with no swimming pool. Also both of our rooms were handicap access, no problem, just with all the plastic hardware around, felt a little crammed.
Now the goodies
Supernice staff, very helpful, beds were comfy, new furniture. Area with easy access to six flags, rangers, cowboys!
Not the Ritz, but cost friendly, large rooms, kitchenettes, coffee, microwaves for that midnight snack and a free copy o USAToday!..what's not to like about that?

Give them a shot! Not bad at all
Thank you Jolene for a nice stay!
