“Good first impression”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

First impression is good. Front desk staff was very friendly throughout the stay and very competent.
May be corny, but liked getting free tickets (for being a Priority Club member) to pick out treats later in the hotel store. Breakfast was fine and kept well stocked, but the breakfast room was very small.
Hotel carpets in halls and rooms looked updated, but there were quite a few stains in halls and rooms. Fitness room was AWFUL. Two treadmills and neither worked. Bicycle and it didn't work. Eliptical machine made a sound loud enough to disturb the whole hotel on every rotation.
Room was spacious and beds were good, BUT, shower had mold above the shower on the wallpaper and also black mold on the ceiling above about a third of the shower. Very unappealing! Location of hotel is across the street from a big mall with every restaurant choice you could want. Many, many choices. The hotel is a little tricky to get in and out of because it is off the main road, but close to the interstate.
In summary, the black mold, stains on the carpets, and terrible fitness room were enough negative to make what should be a very good hotel, average at best.

We stayed for two nights and overall we were very pleased. Staff was friendly including the cleaning staff. Room was spotless and we were surprised how big room was. We drove up from the Corpus area so we were grateful for the comfortable beds. Our only complainant was the wireless service on the ground floor. There is a Internet port available in the room so we were able to connect our laptop. We are planning another trip to Arlington and we will be staying here again.

We went to a Rangers game and stayed here for a night. The hotel is located close to Six Flags Over Texas, Ranger Stadium, Cowboys Stadium and UT Arlington. The hotel is located next to a major freeway on/off ramp and a mall entrance. So it can be pretty gridlocked.

The hotel was clean with lots of parking. The front desk staff were very friendly and upgraded our room to a suite for us! The room had two queens and a sofa sleeper. It was very clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable too. Breakfast the next morning had a great selection, was clean and had plenty of food. No complaints at all and will definitely be staying here the next time we visit Arlington.

We had fun in this place and the rooms were okay. The weather in Dallas during trip was scorching and sometimes the AC in our room could not cope. The hotel was very busy and staff could not cope during breakfast times with surge of guests as the breakfast room was quite small.

Overall it was a pleasant stay

Room Tip: No spectacular views from this hotel. Its in the heart of town.

We stated at the Holiday Inn Express while visiting our nephew nearby. The hotel is in a good location just off interstate 20 with easy on and off access. It was clean and the staff was very friendly and always ready to accommodate with anything you asked for.

After our first night we left for a brief trip to San Antonio and when we check out I requested that we have a room that was further from the elevator when we returned in a couple of days. The manager was very willing to do so and when we returned. Two days later the girl that was on the desk remembered us and had everything ready for us to check in early at about 12:00 noon.

One feature about this hotel was I was amazed at was that there is a laundry room available to use that is not only free, but they have a bottle of Laundry detergent for you to use as well.

The breakfast was always good and plentiful. The girl that works in that area is awesome!!! She fills trays before they are empty and is always willing to get you what you want. There are also cookies available in the late afternoon. They were delicious!!!

When it was time to print our boarding passes the printer was out of toner and the gentleman at the front desk printed them for us without a problem.

I would highly recommend this hotel for a quick trip to Arlington.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the elevator.

Easy access on/off highway. Staff was friendly. We arrived the day after the tornado hit the Arlington/Dallas area so the hotel was full but they were able to get us into a handicap accessible room until the other half of our parties room was available. The beds were comfortable,ac unit worked just fine, minifridge, coffe maker and microwave in room. The mall is just across the street and there were plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from. I plan on staying here for our next trip in May.

Stayed in three hotels three nights in a row traveling from Arlington, TX back to Arlington, VA! This was by far the best! Very comfortable bed, quiet room. Fridge and microwave were very handy. I checked in late and bought two TV dinners. The gentleman checking me in was very nice! I had to go back downstairs and ask for silverware for my dinner and he gladly went and fetched it from the breakfast area for me. I slept soundly, ate a great, healthy breakfast the next morning, then used their gym. It was a bit hard to find, as it is on Ground level--only accessible via the elevator in the middle of the hallway, NOT the elevator by the lobby! It's a small gym but I had it to myself so I didn't mind. I checked out around noon and signed up for their rewards program. I highly recommend this HI Express!

I can't say much about the location as we hit the road for Little Rock, but it seemed to be by a mall. I could see the back of Best Buy out the lobby window as I was eating my breakfast.

PS: For those coming in from DFW, my cab ride base fare was $46.
