“Good Experience”

La Quinta Inn & Suites Dallas Arlington North

Jul 8, 2008

Good experience for the family. The closeness to Six Flags as well as the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington is a big plus. The room was clean, the A/C worked great on a 99 degree day. The kids loved the swimming pool area especially the mini size splash park. Really liked the pool towels by the pool. Nice touch. Only problem at breakfast was that I saw, the attendant did not check on the coffee enough to see if it was empty or not. Parents with kids excited about the day need coffee in the morning. We stayed and went to a Rangers game, probably will return in a few weeks to stay again and take in Six Flaggs. Easy to get to the ballpark from this place and back. Ate at Denny's after the Rangers game. Very impressed with the manager on duty. He took up the slack when his wait staff was busy with customers.

“Great place, location and fun for families”

Stayed for 2 nights in July. Great location. Right across from Six Flags, right behind the Ranger Inn. Price was ok - breakfast was ok - sausage, gravy, waffles, cereal, yogurt and fruit. Rooms were clean, I asked for a room with a view of 6 flags - was a smoking room (which I had said was fine) - last people must have spent all of the time in the room smoking, but the view was great. We were on the 6th floor. Parking was tight here, and the shuttle schedule to and from six flags didn't work for us at all, but we'd stay again.
We missed the shuttle in the morning to six flags, and the entrance was within walking distance. We did catch the shuttle back in the afternoon to go eat at Humperdinks - then caught it again back to the park. When the driver was dropping us off, he was on a personal call on his cell phone and I asked if the last shuttle was to run at 1015 (park closes at 1000) - he said "Yep, 1015" w/a nod of the head...SO, at the end of the night, we head out completely exhausted to wait for the shuttle - At 1025, I call the hotel and they say "Nope, the last shuttle runs at 945" so we head out walking (Wasn't bad, we were just tired) - and as soon as we get to the street by the hotel, we see the shuttle pull into Six Flags - SO, we were pretty disappointed w/the lack of the communication and shuttle schedule, but we didn't let it ruin a good time.
Overall, I give it a thumbs up!

“Great place for families at a decent price”

La Quinta Inn & Suites Dallas Arlington North

Apr 1, 2008

We stayed one evening due to a layover and got a AAA rate. It was a terrific place. Immaculate, and our 2 young children enjoyed the place immensely (video games for $6.95). We had a suite. It was very roomy, with a nice sized bedroom and good flow in the main room, which unlike many suite hotels, offer literally no space to move any furniture, which has to be done to open the sofa bed. Bedroom has a nice closet.

We received 1 free day of internet service. The location was somewhat remote but we chose it for its proximity to DFW--6 Flags was not open for the season. We had a car so we just went out for dinner. Quiet halls and walls, as we were surrounded by other guests on the floor and never heard a peep. King bed was very comfortable and we had 6 bath towels which was nice? I actually felt I could walk around without shoes and not be totally grossed out. The place has a very new feel to it.

We did not stay for the continental brkfst that was included but I did pass by it and they had hot eggs and sausage as well as the usual muffins, bagels and other pastries. Did not check out the pool. There is a hotel laundry on the 6th floor. $1.25 for washing or drying.

I would definitely recommend this place.

Stayed for 5 nights in a 2 bedroom Suite located on the six floor at the end of the hall. Nice room with sitting area. Stone flooring with granite counter top in the bathroom. Many Restaurants within walking distance. Don't miss Mariano's Mexican Cuisine right cross the highyway. Humperdinks's
which is behind the hotel has something for everyone. Keep up the great work La Quinta!

“In Prison For Weeks On End”

Don't be fooled by the outside appearance, it was literally a prison.

1. Abandoned at airport at 10:15pm at night and told "Find your own way back." Took a taxi to the hotel. The GM Mr. Bill McKenzie had no apology for the occurrence.
2. I was able to leave several pieces of trash out for 10 nights with housekeeping never picking it up. Very sloppy job.
3. Was told that the shuttle (we had no car) to take us to Wal Mart but then was told no later (this happened several times). How would you feel to be told you can not have basic necessities?
4. Staff acted more like they were in high school rather than being professional. Absolutely flat out MEAN SPIRITED comments and behaviors when nothing was ever instigated.
5. Asked for a quiet place to study in the evening and we were told "go to the hall."
6. No hot water in the morning (experienced this for 13 mornings).

This is only a VERY SMALL list of the HELL we all went through. Trust me, it only gets worse but to save time I will only put this small list.

I would never wish the torture I went through during those weeks even on my worse enemy. Now how would you feel to be locked up in this hotel for weeks on end like I was?
