“Great place for families at a decent price”

La Quinta Inn & Suites Dallas Arlington North

Apr 1, 2008

We stayed one evening due to a layover and got a AAA rate. It was a terrific place. Immaculate, and our 2 young children enjoyed the place immensely (video games for $6.95). We had a suite. It was very roomy, with a nice sized bedroom and good flow in the main room, which unlike many suite hotels, offer literally no space to move any furniture, which has to be done to open the sofa bed. Bedroom has a nice closet.

We received 1 free day of internet service. The location was somewhat remote but we chose it for its proximity to DFW--6 Flags was not open for the season. We had a car so we just went out for dinner. Quiet halls and walls, as we were surrounded by other guests on the floor and never heard a peep. King bed was very comfortable and we had 6 bath towels which was nice? I actually felt I could walk around without shoes and not be totally grossed out. The place has a very new feel to it.

We did not stay for the continental brkfst that was included but I did pass by it and they had hot eggs and sausage as well as the usual muffins, bagels and other pastries. Did not check out the pool. There is a hotel laundry on the 6th floor. $1.25 for washing or drying.

I would definitely recommend this place.

Stayed for 5 nights in a 2 bedroom Suite located on the six floor at the end of the hall. Nice room with sitting area. Stone flooring with granite counter top in the bathroom. Many Restaurants within walking distance. Don't miss Mariano's Mexican Cuisine right cross the highyway. Humperdinks's
which is behind the hotel has something for everyone. Keep up the great work La Quinta!

“In Prison For Weeks On End”

Don't be fooled by the outside appearance, it was literally a prison.

1. Abandoned at airport at 10:15pm at night and told "Find your own way back." Took a taxi to the hotel. The GM Mr. Bill McKenzie had no apology for the occurrence.
2. I was able to leave several pieces of trash out for 10 nights with housekeeping never picking it up. Very sloppy job.
3. Was told that the shuttle (we had no car) to take us to Wal Mart but then was told no later (this happened several times). How would you feel to be told you can not have basic necessities?
4. Staff acted more like they were in high school rather than being professional. Absolutely flat out MEAN SPIRITED comments and behaviors when nothing was ever instigated.
5. Asked for a quiet place to study in the evening and we were told "go to the hall."
6. No hot water in the morning (experienced this for 13 mornings).

This is only a VERY SMALL list of the HELL we all went through. Trust me, it only gets worse but to save time I will only put this small list.

I would never wish the torture I went through during those weeks even on my worse enemy. Now how would you feel to be locked up in this hotel for weeks on end like I was?

Myself, My wife and 2 teenage children flew in from London England to DFW via Chicago, the hotel shuttle took just a few minutes to arrive to collect us and our numerous luggage bags, We were planning on staying for almost 3 weeks!!!
Omar (one of the shuttle drivers was just the kindest guy you could ask to meet) If the powers to be at LQ hotels are reading this - this guy is a credit to your organisation.
The hotel was quite clearly new, the room was clean, roomy and every member of staff we had contact with was polite and courteous.
Breakfast was more than adequate, the 5 - mile radius shuttle service was a blessing, not used to driving in the USA I was reluctant to hire a car, the shuttle met all our needs.
For Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor, the hotel could not be better placed.
The pool was always a pleasure to throw yourself into after a long day at the parks.
And if you stay at this hotel, you MUST visit Palaminas restaurant.
What a fabulous place to eat.
in fact our whole time in Texas was just perfect. We are returning again in November 2007 such was the level of our satisfaction.
I guess there should be a negative input with every review, but in this case, there truly is no negative feedback
Excellent Hotel,
Excellent location,
Excellent staff and service

See you all in November!!

“Great place to stay!”

We stayed at the La Quinta because of it's convenience to Six Flags, and were very impressed with the hotel. Our room was a two room suite, and was very roomy and spacious. The hotel itself is very pretty on the inside. Everything was in great condition in the room. Contrary to some reviews I've read, the breakfast was good (hey, it's free, you can't complain!). They had sweet rolls, waffles, cereal, bagels, hard boiled eggs, etc.

The hotel is a little pricey, but the convenience factor is worth it. Six Flags charges a lot to park, and the hotel is nice enough to let you stay in their parking lot, even if you've already checked out. We could see the pool from our room, and it looked really nice; we didn't swim in it, though, because we got in too late, and it was probably too cool anyway. The hot tub would have been nice, though!

Overall, it was great, and I'd recommend it to anyone!
