My husband and I went for our anniversary. Place was highly rated by local paper.
The Bistro facility was clear plastic over live oak trees with white Christmas lights. Yes, it was clear plastic draped over trees with small white lights, no kidding! This was the main dining area. It was Feb and the weather was wet and cold, and so was the eating area. It was like eating out under a painter's plastic drop cloth. I was glad I brought a coat, as I had to wear it the whole time. My husband did not, as we thought we were eating in a real restaurant. He was blue by the end of the meal, which took almost 3 hours due to slow service.
Food was very expensive (around the same price as some of the best restaurants in Corpus/Port Aransas). Wine list and service left a lot to be desired. Every year when our anniversary rolls around we talk about this experience, which is seared into our memories as our worst dining experience in South Texas.
