4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

The room was fresh and clean. Fully equip with all the comforts of home. The acceptance of pets is very stress relieving for us. Located near the interstate, but not close enough to hear the traffic noise.

"Wake up on the britght side " is their logo and that we did with the sun light streaming in all around the door .. thank goodness the wind wasnt blowing that nite .. the good it is a dog friendly hotel with small grassy areas to let the dog do its stuff .. 3 floor access is by stairs or elevator .. nice up dated beds, TV and internet but the rug is a bit worn .. bath is very dated but clean .. parking is tight but seems safe well lit .. being close to the medical district will help those that need a room close .. thank goodness I had a AARP card cause the premium price is way to high to pay for this kind of room .. all in all, it is a clean hotel, dated yes but clean

Room Tip: use some kinda of discount like AARP or AAA to get a better price

The location is right of I10 and convenient to the medical center. We booked on our iphone on the way into Amarillo. The app was easy to use.
Room was quiet and clean,. Great Value with TX4H--Texas 4-H rate promotion. WE will stay here again.

This is a very average hotel but for the AAA price of $50, it's actually a very good value.

Room was clean but surface-ly clean -- all the essentials were well dusted, wiped down but when I went to set the alarm, it was sticky on the bottom as if something had been spilled and the table was wiped down but obviously not the stuff on it.

Bathroom came with soap and shampoo only but room did have a coffeemaker with all the basic supplies.

Bed was comfortable but be aware they are only doubles here....no queens and one of the pillows were missing on one of the beds....not a big deal but obviously housekeeping wasn't thorough.

Rooms are outside and while the area was safe, the wind was really blowing hard so had to listen to that pitchy kind of whirring sound that occurs as the wind blew through the staircase that I was near....of course if the rooms were indoors, it'd be more quiet.

Fortunately the heater drowned out some of that wind noise. It worked great (thankfully because it WAS really cold outside) but made a low hum so that when it was on, you had to turn on the tv volume a little higher but not loud enough that it kept you awake.

Complementary breakfast was pretty minimal and no one seemed to be restocking it but I had a couple hard-boiled eggs and a yogurt so that was ok for me.

If I was trying to save money, this is a good choice, but for me....a woman travelling by herself...I would pay extra for a hotel that has inside rooms.

Stayed the night traveling across the country and for what it costs this place was great! I payed 3x the amount at other hotels that weren't nearly as clean or comfortable. The shower had great pressure. Pillows were perfect. Waffle house next door if you get in late or have to leave early.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times. I have never had a problem checking in. The rooms were clean and everything worked. The best part of this hotel, is that they have a gigantic parking lot if you are pulling a trailer. Never a problem getting a "drive-thru" spot. We have always been late getting in and there is a little restraunt right in front that is open late where we can get something to eat. I would give it an excellent except it is a little old.

Our room was clearly recently renovated and was as nice as some of the finest hotels I've stayed in. Room had what appeared to be new carpet. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was in working order. The lobby was neat and clean and the continental breakfast plenty adequate.
