“Clean, affordable, friendly stay.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

This LaQuinta was very clean, neat, and affordable. Great location near the VA Medical Complex. The only drawback we experienced was the chaotic public's lack of consideration of quietness and privacy for others. Door's slamming, vehicles speeding in and out of the parking lot, people talking loudly. Otherwise, this is a very good place to stay. Breakfast selection is excellent. If you would like more, there is a Waffle House right next door.

Melissa and Jennifer have helped us so much. They are so professional and friendly. I have had medical issues and after surgery am able to go to our room and get the rest I need. Very quiet.
Again please THANK Jennifer and Melissa for us. They are the best. That is why we keep going back.

On the way to Colorado, we wanted an inexpensive night for bed and reasonable price. We frequently stay at this chain and find them an excellent value. We liked the location of this one but the price and reviews led us not to expect much. What a surprise!! A nice lobby with pleasant staff (thanks Rochelle), who had our room keys and check in ready when we arrived. We were traveling with friends and Rochelle put us in nice rooms next to each other. Remodeling is done and is a nice contemporary yet retro look. Flat screen tv. Nice big breakfast included. The room was clean and fresh. Non smoking. We had a king bed and it was very comfy. Love their pillows. We had nice table in the room to play cards. Rochelle called to make sure our rooms were comfy. She placed us in rooms toward the back which were quiet. She also booked us on the first floor which I forgot to ask for but she knew we were senior citizens from the rate we requested and proactively arranged it for us. Over all we thought this was a great room for a great price for a good nights sleep. We are booking our return trip here as well.

Room Tip: We liked the first floor where we could park right in front of the room. Easy unload of baggage.

This is the first La Quinta that I have stayed in that was a throw back to the old cedar block motel. Shower nozzle was so low it pointed at my chest! And I'm only 5'11"! Also, breakfast was very poor quality, everything was gone 45 min before it was suppose to close & no one cleaned up. Very unlike the new La Quinta quality. Find another hotel in Amarillo.

We traveled from Des Moines, Iowa to Winslow, Arizona, and booked stays in La Quinta all the way through. This La Quinta location did not meet our expectations at all. Our room was not very clean, there were broken tiles, broken light switches, burned our bulbs and non-functional electrical outlets. My hope is that our room had not yet been renovated, and that this property will be improved once renovations are complete - because it does not measure up to the several other La Quinta properties in which we have stayed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the stairs - noisy metal grate stairs.
