Rooms were small-bathroom even smaller. Dressing area nice size. There was a used washcloth still in the shower. Our bed sagged in the middle. There were 3 of us and we didn't have room for our suitcases. The pool was so dirty our teenage son wouldn't swim in it. Breakfast was okay-except the guy at the front desk kept watching everyone with way too much interest. Gave me a creepy feeling. We were glad we had a coupon for $49, it wasn't worth more than that.

I picked this hotel online to stay at on a trip to california with my husband and dog! It's hard to find places that will not charge extra for my dog. The la quinta inn was awesome from the moment we arrived. The check in was easy and the girl was very nice she even had a dog herself behind the desk haha. i saw tons of travelers with dogs walking them around the hotel, there are plenty of "play" and potty areas for them. I was kind of scared that the rooms wouldnt be too good since they allow dogs. But as soon as we walked in it was an awesome room, no odor at all very clean, nice sized, the bathtub/toilet area is small but thats ok the vanity and sink are in a nice sized area. The beds are very comfortable as well!!! Will gladly stay at another la quinta inn!

A regular La Quinta customer, I was sorely disappointed by the condition of this hotel. The bathroom floor was filthy and remained that way for two days. The bathroom door did not close properly. The bathroom fan was inoperative as were several light switches. The rooms were tiny. And ... to top it off ... we received only 3 towels each night even though I clearly booked the reservations indicating a family stay with four people.

It was just a real lousy experience and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We drive through Amarillo several times a year and this is the hotel we will stay at from now on - best value, safety and convenience for the price out of the three mid-priced hotels we've tried.

We stayed in one of the two suites at this hotel over Memorial Day weekend. (We have started using La Quinta because we have two small dogs and were distressed to see other hotels have started charging exorbitant fees for pets.) The suite was large, clean, and comfortable.

The hotel was quiet and safe. It is right off of I-40. There are basic restaurants close by - a Denny's and a Wendy's right next door. The steakhouse that is the 'home of the free 72 ounce steak' is just four miles away..

Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. We had a housekeeping issue that was quickly and sympathetically resolved. Breakfast was substantial.

Small details, like the phone in the bedroom having no cord, and boxes blocking the route through the door when we were packing to leave, are the only reason I did not rate this five stars.
