Perhaps we should have seen the signs. We had read that it was a must stop. But it wasn't until we went inside and breathed the thick, greasy air that we knew that we couldn't eat there.
Arnold's Burgers is known as a "must see". And I'm glad we did. But I'm even more glad that I didn't order a burger there. The grease pit they cook in is open for all to see. I guess they have to do that because it was cleaner than the rest of the joint.
Sure the people were friendly. And the selection was unbelieveable. But we had decided the night before that we wouldn't eat anywhere that posted a sign stating, "no public restrooms." I mean c'mon, if you can't keep a restroom, then you can't keep a kitchen.
Please enjoy this photo and remember to keep looking out for signs!
Oh, and don't worry, there were a lot of people eating there when we arrived. A friend of mine said that usually there is a line out the door. So perhaps it's not so bad afterall. And yes, I would stop again just so I could witness it again.
