“Horseback Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Sharon and I had a great ride the other day. We got fine horses and a couple of real fine characters in Eric and Brody, who guided us. I'd seen the Canyon, but never ridden in it and would recommend this ride to anyone. While in Amarillo, be sure to check out the Quarter Horse Museum, Kwadi Indian Museum, and the Panhandle Plains Museum in Canyon.

“Beautiful and authentic horseback riding on Texas Ranch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

This was an awesome experience for us, as we really wanted to experience something authentic, and this was the best! Most of us had no horseback riding experience at all, but that was no problem, since they gave us a good introduction. We were all fitted on horses that matched our weights and heights, and then we went out on the ranch, which is located in part of the Palo Duro Canyon, and it is a functioning cattle farm. We went up and down some kinda steep hills, but of course the horses knew what they were doing. Phyllis kept us entertained during the entire ride, with historic information about cowboys, indians, texas and cattle farming. We stopped for a few water and snack breaks, which were all provided for us. We rode for about 2 full hours, but we could have stayed for days! Don't miss out on this, this was amazing!

“Truly Authentic Texas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

I love this place. I'm from Texas and this experience has been one of my favorite. The view is beautiful. The food was very tasty. the entertainment was enjoyable. We ate a chuck wagon cowboy breakfast and then were able to ride horses into part of the Palo Duro Canyon. If you are looking for something to do near Amarillo, you really need to experience this. Phyllis and Katy know hospitality and go out of their way to give you a true Texas taste of history. My kids often ask to return!!

“Best ride of the Canyon!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

You won't be bored. You won't leave with knowledge of how to ride if you are a novice. You will love the guide/instructors! You won't be disappointed. My 11 year old granddaughter and I were ready to mount up and ride out again after our 2+ ride. We did more than we ever anticipated we would be able to do. What a ride, what a ranch, what memories!
