My husband had wanted to treat me to a few days away yet near home in a comfortable B&B to get caught up on my rest and writing. In short, it was no treat. Before breakfast of the second day I quickly checked out of the cold, sterile environment eager to return home.
The term Bed and Breakfast is a misnomer in this case as it has none of the usual connotations commonly associated with B&Bs such as warm, inviting, or hospitable. My experience at the Adaberry lead me to believe it best serves the nearby medical community and business folks merely looking for a place to catch a few winks.
Since none can be expected to be all things to all people, perhaps it would be advantageous to the Inn to properly market solely to the business community it appears to serve best so that the average B&B patron wouldn't be misled.
