“Great hotel on the edge of town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2012

We were heading West and this hotel is right on the West side of town so getting up in the morning was easy to hit I-40. Plenty of room for trailer parking, right by Red Robin and additional eating places.
Close by mall and shopping.

Very clean hotel and great staff. Will stay again anytime!

This is our hotel of choice when travelling through Amarillo. Have stayed here several times. Very nice accomodations at a reasonable price. Easy access on and off I-40. Good breakfast. But the most memorable thing about this hotel is the huge hot tub with the dolphin on the bottom. Wonderful! This is a very quiet, comfortable, secure place to stay that I will continue to patronize whenever passing through the area.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms are fine since they have a elevator and enough luggage carts.

We stayed here one night while driving across the country and found it to be a very nice motel. The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable. We had a king, handicap accessible room because it was the only king room available when we made reservations. I do not especially like the roll-in showers because the bathroom floor gets wet, but it was large, clean, and had the usual amenities. There were a number of restaurants nearby including On The Border which was very good. The breakfast included the usual choices - cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast, waffles, muffins - plus eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. My husband said the biscuits and the gravy were cold. Since we were some of the first people to have breakfast, they must not have been heated properly. Other than the cold food, the only complaint we had was not the motels fault. Guests in the room next to or above ours were very noisy until past midnight. A bus full of teenagers had checked in just before us and it sounded like it was probably some of them laughing and talking. Overall it was a nice motel.

This is just off I-40 at western end of Amarillo. The pool is really a good size for hotel but the hot tub is hugh. It can easily seat 12-15 and has a dolphin in the bottom. The large swimming pool is big enough to swim some laps and not run into anyone coming and going. There is a Red Robin just across the street. Also about 5 minutes from the hotel is a large mall. I think it may be the only mall in Amarillo. The breakfast area is very adequate and the waffle iron is in the shape of the state of Texas. Kids just love that.

Room Tip: There is one very large room directly above the breakfast area that would accomodate a family easily...

I have stayed here a few times travelling from Dallas to Albuquerque. The location is great, on the western edge of Amarillo. If you are travelling west, you have no traffic to deal with when you leave in the morning. It is close to several restraurants. It is also right next to a prarie dog town, which is very entertaining to watch. The rooms are nice, breakfast is okay.

although, it was not noticeable inside. However, this hotel had a very strong smell of cigarettes. We had a non-smoking room and that seemed fine, but as soon as you opened the door to the hallway, the smoke smell was overpowering. Check in was pleasant and uneventful. Place was clean, although, not spotless. Room was large and comfortable. Tv worked, wi-fi was adequate although, a little slow. Breakfast was the usual waffles, fruit, cereal, etc. I would stay again.
