“Very nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2012

We got stranded in Amarillo due to a snow storm and a bad traffic jam. Being that this was one of the closest hotels to where we were at we decided to stop. The hotel is really nice and clean. They have a do it yourself laundry which came in very handy. There free breakfast was excellent. They had eggs, biscuit and gravy, sausage, cereal, waffles, ect. good variety for a free breakfast. One tip is to book your room online and you will get the best price.

My son and I were driving from Charlotte to Phoenix and the last night of the trip we stayed at the Sleep Inn on the west side of town. The service at the front desk was warm, friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable and we both loved the beds. Breakfast is included in the reasonablely priced room and I can honestly say it was the best hotel-provided breakfast I can remember. In my travels waffle machines are fairly common, but I've never seen a pancake machine and it was wildly popular! There were many other amenities thay we did not have a chance to take advantage of, but we really enjoyed our short stay and would definitely stay again.

We stayed there in January 2012 and this is a good place to stay if needing a hotel in Amarillo. Very quiet, nice rooms, good breakfast, good location, fair price.

Room Tip: We stayed on the third floor and it was very quiet.

My stay here was one of the best I have ever had. The roooms were great - bathrooms were huge, mattresses were extremely comfortable, flat screen televisions perfect. The staff went out of their way to make sure that I was taken care of in any way possible. And the next morning the breakfast was hot and fresh. If you are looking for a place to stay in Amarillo, this is definitely it!!

If you want to stay somplace where you have a nice, clean room and it's a good price, this one is a good choice. And breakfast is free. (Just make sure you check the room really good before you leave so you don't leavey anything behind! We forgot our cell phone chargers - the counter tops are black and it was hard to see. We called as soon as we realized it and they said they couldn't find them. It was disappointing - but at least we could replace them.)

Room Tip: We thought that our room wasn't going to be very quiet, because it was on the front of the hotel...

Choice hotels have been trying to upgrade the image of Sleep Inns and this location hits the mark. The decor and atmosphere will have you do a double take thinking you are in a high end hotel. The room I was in had a huge desk to work on. Large 40" flatscreen. The whirlpool was off in its own area with its own wall mounted TV. The bathroom had very high end fixtures with a huge walk-in shower. Breakfast had the average selection but everything was fresh. Even the soda machine was a reasonable price. This is my destination for Amarillo. Do not confuse this with the airport location. This one is on the west side of town.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2011

I stayed here twice in 5 days on a quick trip from Denver to Dallas and back. The hotel is located on the west side of Amarillo on I-40, making it easy to get to. The hotel is very clean and feels like it should cost more than it does. Check in was quick and smooth. The front desk attendant was warm and friendly. I stayed in a standard room with a King bed and again from the looks of the room, I felt it was a good value. The room and bathroom were very clean and surprisingly well appointed for the price. The bed was comfortable and the large flat screen television with an abundance of channels was a nice feature. The room had a walk in shower and the only downside to that was the lack of door or shower curtain made it a little drafty on a cold November evening. The breakfast was fine, but nothing to brag about. It stocked much of the standard fare (yogurt, milk, cereal, oatmeal, pastries) with the addition of some scrambled eggs and sausage.

We are excited to hear that you felt that the hotel should cost more than it did! This is an example of our superior service to each guest paying off. Not only is the hotel easy to get to, but it is located centrally to the medical district and shopping mall and only minutes from downtown.
