“Pleasantly Surprised”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

It was after midnight when we checked in after a LONG day on the road. The night clerk, whose name I wish I could recall, was so kind and so very helpful. He took the time to explain where we were and how to get to a local store as well as fulfilled our request for an upstairs room. As 2 single girls traveling across the country, we were a little nervous about the area, but he reassured us that it was a safe part of town and break-ins were very uncommon. The room was clean, and the beds were comfy. We only slept a few hours and were out the door early the next morning. This was a great place for a quick shower and a good night's rest :)

Traveling from Midwest to California. Stop at different motels along the way. This one was a pleasant surprise for a Days Inn. Staff was very helpful, breakfast was good and hot. Rooms were modern and updated and clean. We would gladly stay here again and the price was right.

we stayed here for almost a week we had 2 rooms it wasnt bad, the exterior is kind of dated but the room itself had been updated nicely, the beds were very comfortable and the staff was great the only set back i had was that i was charged for a deposit for the safe and it did not work, the owner even came and tried to get it to work to no avail. the pool was not heated but it was warm enough once you got in, the hot tub was nice and the gym was locked up. i was a lil upset that my 15 yr old and 10 yr old needed to have an adult there while swimming because both are excellent swimmersand they gave you pool towels at front desk.. the hot breakfast was good but was the same every single day biscuits gravy sausage and oatmeal which was very limited. their orange juice tasted great though. the day we left it snowed a lot and trying to carry all our bags down the metal frozen steps was an adeventure i wish they would have salted to stairs and sidewalks. the wifi worked fine everyday and my kids had multiple electronics hooked up at once. overall i would say yes i would stay here again..

Room Tip: ask for downstairs if at all possible the wind in amarillo blows awful through the stairwells and th...

Disappointing stay at the hotel. Spent hours trying to kill all the flies the room. Complained to the manager and he just said the flies come in when the weather gets cold. Breakfast was hot but nothing special.

I read the reviews and made my reservation with apprehension. Unfortunately other than a very friendly desk clerk on check in and a better than usual breakfast, there were several problems. I think they have the PR part of running a hotel down but the infrastructure creates problems. There was an odor in the room on arrival but the Ac took care of more of the smell not really bad but noticeable. About an hour after check-in someone tried to enter my room. They were given my room by the front desk as their room. The front desk called me in just a few minutes explaining the computer went down and they thought the room was vacant. In the morning as I went to enter the shower, the carpeted area where the sink was located was soaking wet. I did notify management on check out about the water in the room as I was able to avoid the wet area to get ready for the day and I was not staying a 2nd night. The breakfast did have the usual items with the addition of eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. The indoor pool was out of service when I was there. I gave the hotel a 2 star rating as I am not sure the problems will be quickly remedied.

Although obviously an older motel with exterior entrances, the interior of our room had been nicely renovated. The doors to the rooms are grungy, though, and need repainting badly The king mattress was one of the very most comfortable we've slept in, and the linens were very nice. The flat-screen TV was very good, but the internet was on the slower side. The tub liner was dirty, though the rest of the room was very clean. The freezer in the fridge didn't work (was no colder than the fridge). The breakfast was above average with a variety of hot and cold foods, though lacked real half-n-half (powdered creamer only). The pet fee was on the high side at $20. The hotel was very noisy on the night/morning we stayed. People were getting up around us and banging doors and luggage down the metal stairs at 5:30 am. Our room was right by the exterior staircase, which exacerbated this issue. Front desk staff was friendly.

Room Tip: Room 100 is right at the bottom of the stairs, which can add to noise of guests going up and down st...
