Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, 5:30pm. We're one of four occupied tables in the dining room. Bathrooms were absolutely trashed. Carpets were dirty with food. The walls by our booth had food liquid sprayed on them. The window blinds were filthy with dust.
The salad bar was way below average: no carrots, radishes, tomatoes or much of anything else as far as veggies, and the dressings weren't labeled. The waitress didn't know the menu options when we asked questions. The pizza, of course, was way, way average...you're in a chain store in Texas, after all.
Absolutely would not return here until a bunch of other folks review it as being way improved. With 2000 college kids, Alpine very much needs a nicer pizza place.
When I was a kid, I worked in Pizza Hut, and corporate HQ secret-shopped us several times a year. If things weren't right, the manager heard about it, big time. But, I suppose this one is franchisee-owned and the secret shoppers don't get out to remote SW Texas.
