This is truly the nicest place to stay while in Alpine. It is clean, well-appointed, and the hosts are helpful and non-intrusive. I was expecting a sad, dismal experience...their website would not load on my computer and of all the hotels this had the least negative comments.
Yet I found it charming and its charm grows on you. Has a nice retro vibe. It does not have great curb appeal until you turn into the court area. Then take a huge breath, let it out slowly and relax. You are now at home in Alpine, Texas.
Lovely thick white towels, great sheets. Terra cotta floors. comfortable beds, new rustic-style furniture. The cleaning staff does a marvelous job of cleaning the room quickly and efficiently. Bravo.
Resident cat ---Miss Kitt;y, very friendly.
If you are a light sleeper be forewarned: the train rumbles through the town twice a night, and you may not like it. So stay somewhere else. At the other hotels, you may not hear the train, but I was not impressed with the other choices in Alpine; frankly, I never even heard the train; neither did my daughter.
I would recommend this Inn to anyone.
