Went to visit my son who's staffing at a nearby camp for the summer. The rooms sleep only two each, so I had to get two adjoining rooms, which make up a suite. But the rate for two rooms was extremely reasonable.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Both rooms were decorated very nicely, with nice touches (loved the imprinted glycerine soap!). In-room coffee pots with cute mugs to serve the coffee in.
The rooms were very clean and very well-maintained. Beds were comfy, air conditioner made the rooms very cool in the evening.
Yes, the trains woke us up, but we just kind of felt it was part of the charm of the whole town, which seemed like part of a bygone era.
A good-sized breakfast, served in the Edelweiss Restaurant, is included in the room rate. We all got the hearty breakfast. Neither of my sons like hash browns, so our server was more than happy to substitute a nice, big fluffy pancake for the hash browns.
I am looking forward to a visit next year.
