Thank you trip advisor and reviewers. I'm always looking for that special hole in the wall. No fluff, just amazing food and great service.

“Solid Tex-Mex”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2012

You have to make an effort to find this little restaurant because it's hidden within the confines of old downtown Allen. If you ever go to the Allen Post Office or Allen Public Library, you're within walking distance of this little gem. The first thing that appealed to us is that it's very understated. Just a small, simple room with about 12-15 tables, BYOB which we love.
The three distinct salsas are great and varied: a brown, smoky version, a red and slightly spicy version and a light green, creamy version. Service was very friendly. The only food we didn't love was the queso, which we thought was so-so and had the feel and texture that it was made elsewhere, even though I suspect they make everything here from scratch. For entrees though, we had chicken enchiladas with cheese sauce, beans and rice as well as grilled shrimp with a lime-citrus sauce that came with fresh grilled vegetables, pico de gallo, charro beans and rice. All were excellent. Pico had a definite kick and the charro beans were just right with a bit of bacon added.
Good solid, down-to-earth food with good, friendly service and fellow diners. Please support this small business in an out-of-the way part of town, and bring your favorite adult beverage.

“Our favorite restaurant in Allen!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2012

This place is just awesome! Amazing food, excellent service, laid back atmosphere. It is truly a little gem, hidden in the middle of old downtown Allen. The queso is some of the best I've ever had. The 3 salsas are all wonderful. Fresh, crispy chips. We always have the chicken fajita enchiladas with sour cream sauce. We go so often, we don't even have to order any more. They just know what we want when we sit down, and they worry about us if we don't show up for a couple of weeks.

“True Mexicano Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2012

I was raised and learn to eat Mexican food in Souther Calif, three years ago my wife and I moved to Fariview Texas, a city on the northern edge of Allen Texas. During the tgis time I have lok for what I call a true Mecican eatery that serves Carnitis and not the TEX MEX stuff that everybody else serves, I found it here, I will go back for sure.
