“Great Breakfast ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

This place had never disappointed us or our guest for breakfast. Talk about down home cooking this place is nothing but down to earth, homemade food. Great prices and friendly staff. There is always more food on my plate than I can eat. But it looks and taste so good I try to finish every time.

“Excellent breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

We ate breakfast here on the day we left Abilene unfortunately, so did not have a chance to make a return visit. The Texas Benedict was outstanding and Texas Hash was amazing. Eggs were cooked as requested. There is some great art work on the walls also.

“Great Food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2014

I had the Texas Benedict and it was excellent, a great variation of the original. I had a really hard time choosing one item to eat. The menu was jam packed with what appeared to be excellent dishes. A must visit, over and over.

“Caught them on a bad day?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

Ordered their standard breakfast with two eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, biscuits and gravy. The hashbrowns were cold, the biscuits were hard, and the coffee was weak. The best thing about the meal was the thick-sliced bacon. I am generally supportive of Abilene restaurants and we do need more breakfast alternatives to IHOP and Dennys, but this restaurant has to do better to get me back to eat there!

“Just Wasn't Impressed!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

Wife and I had breakfast here last Sunday. It was clean, the wait staff was good, but not great. Wife had the cinnamon bun pancake, which she really liked. I had the "Texas hash and eggs" Thought it would have something to do with hash, either corned beef or a home made hash. No, it was just store bought under cooked hash browns, with onion, jalapenos and cheese. They're over medium eggs were broke the 1st time (would think a place called the Flippin Egg, would be able to get the egg right). I sent it back because the hash browns were crunchy. Took 45 minutes to get it the 1st time, 2nd try came out in about 5 minutes. Eggs were better, but over cooked. Hash browns slightly better. Wife ask a couple behind us about their biscuits, she said "gummy"!
Will try again, for lunch next time. Food looked good.
