This Western Sizzlin is usually uncomfortably full of patrons. The tables are so close together that you practically rub elbows with the people sitting at the other tables around you. Foot traffic frequently bottlenecks between tables if two patrons are moving in different directions (usually with a plate full of food).
The buffet is just okay. I usually only eat from the baked potato and salad bar because the rest of the buffet is subpar. I have never ordered a steak here, but they always look good. Other people really seem to enjoy the food (like I said, they are always packed), but I personally don't enjoy overly fried chicken, mushy macaroni and cheese, or dry spaghetti bake. The desserts are okay, but don't bother with the soft serve ice cream. It looks like soft serve and it's cold, but that's pretty much the only similarities it shares with real soft serve. I'm not sure what it's made with, but.. it's interesting, to say the least.
Moving on to the service. We somehow manage to always get the same server no matter when we visit or where we sit. After we chose a table she shows up to initial our receipt and remove our tray and then never shows up again or checks on us to see if we need refills or clean plates. The other servers are full of smiles and seem to be very helpful and friendly, so unless you get the same server that we do you will likely be pleased with their help.
Overall, I really do not enjoy eating here and only do so when friends or family request.
