I needed an inexpensive hotel for a couple of nights while visiting relatives in the area. The Country Inn fit the bill. It was adequate but nothing more and I don’t think I would stay there again. The lobby area looked nice and my room was clean but the nonsmoking rooms are located right across the hall from the smoking rooms. The night I arrived the hallway was filled with the smell of smoke and not just tobacco smoke. A group of rather unsavory looking men were going in and out and although there were no problems I didn't feel very safe.

The breakfast buffet was o.k. but would benefit greatly from a little nicer presentation. Except for the lobby area it seemed that no attention was placed on creating a pleasant or attractive atmosphere. If you’re just looking for a bed for the night it will work but next time I need a hotel in this area I will pay a little more for a nicer place.

This hotel sits 50 feet from the interstate on the front side and 50 feet from the railroad track on the other. My room was on the train side. Trains coming and going all hours of the day and night. Hotel was clean. Hotel Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was adequate. I would not stay in this hotel again.

This motel is situated between I-24 and some train tracks. Take your pick. I chose to stay on the train side figuring the traffic noise coming from the Interstate would be more constant.

Room 340 was large, seemed clean, and had a microwave oven and a mini fridge. Decor was tired and dated----brown and depressing.

A constant humming noise came from the bathroom that I tried to get used to. But that was the least of my problems next to being awakened at 4:15 in the morning by a train roaring past the motel.

It looked like they had built a wall at the edge of the parking lot to act as a sound barrier between the Country Inn and the train tracks. I don’t want to think about what the noise would be like without it.

There was a sign on the sink in the bath telling me what I would be charged if I stole any of their stuff: $25 for the clock, $50 for the coffee maker, $45 for the hair dryer (there’s a bargain), $15 for a hand towel, etc.

If Priceline puts you into this property at a good price, enjoy the savings and make the best of it.

Otherwise, my recommendation is to stay----away.

Priceline Room Rate: $50

We were a bit nervous about staying here after reading some of the previous reviews. This place was AWESOME and far exceeded our expectations considering the price we paid. The location is great - right off a major highway with a variety of restaurants nearby. The check-in desk has a container of complimentary cookies, which my two yound sons enjoyed. The property and rooms were extremely clean. The rooms looked to have been recently remodeled as the decor and fixtures were beautiful, fresh and new. Our room had a small refrigerator with complimentary bottled water. The high-speed wireless internet worked flawlessly. The pool, hot tub, and exercise facilities were clean and well-maintained. The property also has a coin operated laundry facility. We didn't utilize this facility, but it would be very handy if you had a long stay. Perhaps the best part was the complimentary breakfast. We expected cereal, bagels and muffins, but found it to be MUCH more extensive including sausage, eggs, self-serve homemade waffles, yogurts, juices, poptarts, fresh fruit, etc. This was extremely nice considering we were traveling with young children. We HIGHLY recommend this hotel and would definitely return on another trip to Nashville.

“Awful!!! Dangerous...Right in the middle of major gang area!!!”

This place was awful! Was completely surrounded by gangs when we arrived at 1 a.m. All four sides were literally surrounded by children all the way up to young adults. They would not move to let us thru the dead end street. We finally parked right outside the front door and made quick dash to simply have the clerk move us to a safer location within the Country Inn chain. Even the clerk agreed we should not stay as it was two dangerous (two women traveling alone). A go cart track is adjacent to the hotel property, and two bars are next door. The clerk said parents come to the bars and leave their children outside to roam around the hotel and go cart track. We were moved to the Murfreesboro Country Inn and it was great. People were nice, the place was very clean and we felt very safe. By the way, we were told we would not be charged for any nights at Antioch that our reservation would just be transferred to the Murfreesboro location. My credit card was charged for one night. I called and they said we were charged as a 'no show'. Needless to say, it's in dispute. In Murfreesboro we were told that gangs were forced out of Nashville and settled in Antioch. The locals said if your car is on empty, you do not even stop in Antioch for gas, it's just too risky. Stay away from this place! The lobby looked nice but it is just too dangerous. We felt like we were in a Chevy Chase movie!
