“Very Nice Evening In An Impending Ice Storm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

This was our first visit to the chophouse and enjoyed it. Our waitress was very efficient and the food was good. Due to the storm, we were the only customers, but were well-pleased with the meals. The bar was is off to the side, and it was certainly full.

“Head on Down the Alley”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2014

Been here twice in the past month. Both times we've had great experiences.

Drinks are very good; martinis, rum/coke, wine, beer. All made well and served cold.

The food has been good and consistent at each visit.

For appetizers: the Holy Trinity dip (shrimp/crab/crawfish) on toast is tasty; the wings are cooked through and sauced correctly.

For dinner: the burgers and steaks were cooked to medium rare, as ordered, and seasoned perfectly. Shrimp and grits were creamy and delectable. The sweet potato fries tasty and warm.

For dessert: the peanut butter pie was scrumptious.

And, the place was hopping on Friday night!

“What on earth.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014

My girlfriend and I met up here to try since we were downtown shopping. I have worked in the food industry for over 8 yrs. The lady that "manages" is a joke. Maybe hire someone that has worked in a restaurant. She sat us in a section where the girl who was working had a large party. The server brought us water and apologized that she had to collect the checks for the group of 15-20 people. We were fine. We sat there for over 15 minutes without getting a drink order and already knew what we were going to order. This manager walked by our table who knows how many times and never said a word at all to us. Everything else was fine. I have come back on 2 other occassions and im sorry but 3 strikes and youre out. Every time it has been sorry service in the beginning because of this woman. Its ridiculous. I make sure when people ask about here to defer them to another place to eat than here.

“Friendly service with good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

A great welcome and convivial surroundings. Lunch menu offered good choice of tasty simple food. Everything ordered was well presented and enjoyed with the blackened fish being a highlight. Service was excellent and our waitress Jenni helped us with the menu and was efficient and took time to make our lunch an enjoyable experience. Would certainly recommend this restaurant.

“A "well done" sandwich”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

Very poor experience. Extremely long wait for food, sandwich was mushy/gooey having sat under a heat lamp for...explains the "extremely long wait for food". Staff non apologetic re poor food but did offer to replace item. Obviously did not accept as it would have been a really long "lunch hour".
