“Wonderful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

My wife and I, along with four other couples dined at General Elliott Inn for an early New Year's Eve dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal process, including the ambiance, drinks, server and wait staff and the quality and taste of the food. Would highly recommend this to anyone, especially for any "special occasion". This was our second time to dine here and will definitely not be our last.

“Excellent meal, service, ambiance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

We eat here every so often but our last visit was exceptional --- my husband ordered lobster tail and I ordered halibut - both meals were the best we'd had!

“Wonderful Christmas Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

The food was amazing, hosptality of the owners was outstanding. It was like having dinner with your family. Had absolutly no problem witht he seating. We sat right next to the beautiful Christmas tree and were treated like royality. It is the best restaurant in Aiken. Went back again New Years and dinner was even better. The owner Steve, sure knows how to pour a drink. Wine selection is great. Love the fact you pre order your menu choise so you are sure of not being dissapointed because they ran out of what you wanted.

“Poor dining hospitality”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013

My husband and I were part of a Holiday dinner group of 28. We were the last to arrive yet still 10 minutes before our reservation & dinner being served. Everyone was seated early even though we had not arrived. They were seated at tables of 6 and 4 with one table set for us pushed up against the Christmas tree and positioned with two of the chairs with backs to our group. The owner was unwilling to join this table with a table of four right next to it. When I persisted for a better seating arrangement, she stated I should have arrived earlier (huh?), our table was for our single guests (they were never told this nor should they have to sit at a separate table with their backs to our group), she needed a pass-through to the tables (although there was a large doorway a few feet away with total access) and, she had wanted all of us to be seated in the larger dining room. All her "issues" were things that could have easily been addressed prior to our group days before arriving. It was confusing why it was arranged for 26 to sit with others with one small table for two people. When we realized that we would be having dinner by ourselves, we decided to get our dinner to go. We paid for our dinner, got it to-go, left with her taking absolutely no ownership for our poor dining experience, being verbally insulted several times by her and an overall very poor experience expected at the General Elliott Inn. An easy solution would be a call from them and invited as their guests to offer us an experience that would be so much better.

“A Wonderful Dining Experience Always...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

My husband and I always enjoy going to the inn. It is such a unique dining experience. Kay and Steve and their staff never fail to make you feel right at home. Last night we took friends with us who had never been before. They really enjoyed the inn and definitely plan on returning. Our server, Jazz was great...fun and friendly. The food as always was amazing. We all enjoyed our meals and the overall evening was perfect.
