I went through Hotwire and got the rooms (2) for $69 each for a two night stay. The rooms were very clean, appeared to be newly furnished, or at least in very good conditon. I was pleased. I had not read these reviews before going, and have a hard time seeing how anyone could find anything negative with this establishment.

Our rooms were in the back of the hotel and it was very quiet.

The staff was super friendly. We were in town for a funeral and I realized that I forgot to pack dress socks. I asked at the desk where the nearest mall was located, told the clerk my sock story, and she gave me a new pair of socks that they keep in the drawer. How's that for service!

I'd gladly stay here again. It was a very pleasant experience. It would be particularly good for someone on a business trip because of it's proximity to the airport.

“Far Better Than I Was Expecting -- Up To Sheraton Par”

While several reporters here seemed to have a negative experience, I found this Sheraton Four Points up to par -- and for a Sheraton Four Points, that means comparing it with my favorite one in Thorold, Ontario. Contrary to what some have found, my companion and I felt the hotel was quite clean, and had no odors of any kind. The room was well-appointed, all furniture and bedding was in top condition, and the bathroom was well-lit and in good repair (and the shower was hot with excellent water pressure.) We received first-class attention by the staff. When I discovered I'd left some important papers at my office which I needed for our trade show, the staff was kind enough to let me email them to the front desk, where they were printed out and waiting for me. Wake-up calls were prompt and as asked for. What little noise was outside our door subsided quickly without a need to call the front desk for assistance.

If the earlier reviews are turning you off to this property, I advise that you give them a try. They clearly took such comments seriously and have been assiduous in making things right. Any problems seem to have been resolved, and I will make a point of staying with them again.

“Better than expected”

My family and I stayed here while visiting Dorney Park. It's right near the airport but you won't hear any noise, there doesn't seem to be too many flights out of this field.

Our room was comfortable and clean. Through Priceline, we mistakenly booked a room with a king size bed instead of two double beds. However, the staff wheeled up a folding bed to our room right away. The king size bed had nice fluffy pillows and the single on wheels was comfortable enough for one of my children. A fresh copy of USA Today awaited us as we entered. The airconditioner worked fine during our stay.

The pool area was nice and on Friday nights they run a kid's movie at the pool. While I didn't use it, there was a small fitness center
too.

When we returned from Dorney Park, we found our room was cleaned and the beds were made.

On our last day we ordered breakfast via room service, which was of course a bit pricy but the kids never had it before and they really thought it was neat to eat breakfast in bed. Our breakfast arrived hot and on time.

There seems to be nice restuarant attached to the hotel, but we didn't eat there. We were underdressed and it didn't really cater to family dining anyway. Instead we opted for Gregory's nearby, which had great steaks. Don't forget to ask your waiter for the pickles while you're there. We had breakfast at the Oasis Family Restuarant which is typical diner fare.

Checkout is at 12 noon so you have plenty of morning relaxation time. Leaving the key cards with the front desk and settling the breakfast was painless.

All in all, a nice hotel; especially if you can get it for a discount. We got ours for 90 dollars.

“Disgusting - hotel or student dorm?”

Four Points Sheraton Lehigh Valley

Aug 13, 2007

This hotel is dirty. The hallways were full of litter and there were crumbs all over the carpet. A maids cart lay unused in the lobby (it was there for our entire stay).

We stayed for two nights - we did request a non-smoking room, but were given a smoking room and told that because they were full that were was no scope to move. This does happen from time to time, and so I won't hold it against them, but really, this is the tip of the iceberg.

Our room wasn't cleaned after the first night, and even when we complained (when we returned to the room late at night), the staff was tardy and apathetic. They did eventually clean the room, but only did half a job, with the trash not being taken and the towels not being changed, despite requesting this. The bathroom consistently smelled "not good".

The lobby is adjoining a 'night club', and the incredibly loud music means that you have to shout at the desk staff and they have to shout back at you. People also spill out of the nightclub into the corridors shouting and leaving empty glasses. This is not a good way to run a hotel.

The breakfast buffet consists of cold and dried-out food - definitely not worth the money. Go elsewhere - Allentown has ample diners where you can get a good breakfast for a lot less.

I'm not quite sure whether we stayed in a Sheraton or a badly run student-dorm - it really was easy to confuse the two. This is quite easily one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in, if not the worse. We shall not be returning.

“So so stay”

Four Points Sheraton Lehigh Valley

Jul 10, 2007

We stayed here for one night prior to a job interview in Allentown. The check-in process went smoothly, and there was free lemonade in the lobby. When we entered our room, there was a slight mildewy smell, but we figured it might have been the recent cleaning solutions, so we turned up the AC and left the room for about an hour. Upon return, the smell had intensified. We called guest services promptly, who cordially found another room for us and stated that someone would come to the room with our new keys in 5-10 minutes. Twenty minutes later, I called again to say that no one had come; someone finally came after about 45 minutes. The new room was an improvement, although the slightly mildewy smell persisted. To their credit, the manager (who I believe was the one who eventually came with our keys) followed us to the room to make sure it didn't have the same problem. However, we didn't want to have to go through the whole thing again so we stayed put.

The beds were comfortable and we had no issues with the internet connection. We did not get a chance to check out the dining or pool services. Parking was easy and there were several entrances to the hotel from the lot that allowed us to enter the hotel closer to our room.
