My wife and I drive several times a year between Pittsburgh and Boston with a small dog in the car. We originally chose to stay at this Red Roof Inn because it is about halfway to our destination and because they let pets stay free -- no big cleaning charge like other "pet friendly" hotels, unless the animal actually makes a mess. The experience was fine and the value was excellent, so this has become our go-to choice on this route -- we've now stayed there eight times, and counting. The place is clean, the people at the desk are always friendly and helpful, and there are many good places to eat nearby -- check out the Taste of Italy in the adjacent shopping mall. The room is nothing fancy, but has all the amenities we actually value -- for an economical overnight stay, we are not looking for crystal chandeliers. The TV is good-quality, though the choice is channels is more limited than what you probably have at home. The wireless internet works and is no-hassle, though too slow for streaming videos. But overall, excellent value for the money and a great place for an overnight stop, or a couple of days if you are visiting the area.
