“afraid to sleep!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

Management refuse to move us to a different room and refuse refund. I will never stay here again. We were afraid to leave our room, they seem to rent out half the hotel to low income (sec 8 housing) DIRTY!! did not feel safe!

This motel is run down old and dirty as seems to be the theme with rodeway hotels. There were buckets all over the lobby and hall ways catching the rain water leaking through the roof. The restaurant was closed due to the leaking roof. The room had the normal stains and heavy wear and tear that go along with a motel of this price and vintage. The gross thing was the stain on the chair in the room. The location of the stain means it came from one of the orifaces on a persons rear end (see picture). The sink was clogged too so I ended up washing my hands and brushing my teeth in the bath tub.

It was after 8:00 in the evening and all the hotels that allow pets were booked up. When my husband went to check out the room, I told him to keep his eyes on the floor when he flipped on the light...easier to see if there are scattering cockroaches! We checked the beds for bedbugs and filth, but thankfully, the mattresses & pillows looked ok. The rest of the room was disgusting. When we turned on the A/C it started dripping water, so we placed the ice bucket under the leak...the bucket was almost full by morning. The faucets on the tub and sink were beat up, stained, and totally disgusting...needless to say, we did not take showers there. (watch for the pictures I am going to post) Really loved the added touch of a very long, black hair that was stuck to the molding around the bathroom door!
We have a 5 pound, non-shedding, clean toy poodle...and this place has the nerve to charge a pet fee!!! I think our dog was actually wondering why we would bring him to a place like this.
Needless to say, we had a fairly sleepless night and got out very fast in the morning. As I expected, the person at the front desk never asked my husband about our stay.

Room Tip: Sleep in your car!

Bedbugs, roaches, mold filth. Stains in shower and on toilet. Looks like it has never been cleaned. Appliances either don't work or are filthy. Management refuse to move us to a different room and refuse refund. I will never stay here again. And I was here on company business that was prepaid. Workers are rude and could care less about the comfort of their guests. They will come right out and tell you they don't care. Well, I for one do care and they will be reported.

Room Tip: Run as fast as you can from this place. It is a health hazard.

This is the most awesome motel, if you are a dog. A stray dog actually came into our room. Spread out on a sprawling poorly maintained site. You need to drive to get to the lobby, past the vegetable gardens and tractor trailers of the "residents." Our room was not ready so had to take a downgrade. Same beer can and empty cigarette pack was in my parking space when I checked in Friday and left on sunday. Room was not cleaned on saturday. Key didn't work. Had to wait 20 minutes to get back into room. Super nice toasters at breakfast but nothing to toast. Believe these awful reviews. It is actually worse. Shame on you Choice hotels.Very nice outdoor pool if you have the code to get in. Wireless internet was good. No premium channels on terrible tv. Very poor mattresses full of holes. Staff is too busy with cigarette breaks to assist. More like camping without the kitchen.

Room Tip: Dog friendly

My family booked several rooms at this hotel for a wedding we were attending in town. I was the first to arrive and as I pulled in I realized this was not like the pictures shown on the website. It was dirty and old. I check in around 1815 and we went to room 517. As soon as I walked in you could tell the room was old and dirty. The room was a non smoking room but had a strong smell of smoke. I went to the front desk and switched to another room. They gave me the key to 501. I did not look closely at the room then because we chose to eat first. When I got back to the room I noticed that the bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned. There was a black on the toilet and ring in the bathtub "not from us". There were homeless type looking people lurking in the parking lot. I pulled the sheets back and there was dirt and trash in the bed. At this point I contacted a different hotel and packed up. I check out and the employee at the front desk was very nice and stated this happens all the time. It you are going to stay here pack a gun. You will need it. Later I looked on the Megan Law website and there is a sex offender listed with that address as his permanent address. The shipping container I lived in while in Iraq was nicer than this hotel. Do Not Stay Here

Room Tip: Do Not Book Here

My sister booked 11 rooms for this trip, it was a family trip to Dorney Park. We came in to the inn like around 10:30 pm . There was a room with no ac, my room the toilet was all stained and the shower had stains too. The lamps in the room were not working , it smell like nobody went to that room for a long time , in one of the rooms it smell like someone had smoked their. it really stunked the hole room .. not a good experienced..
