The staff tell you what you want to hear until you arrive and find out you are not getting what you have paid for.

The hotel is new and clean. It was convenient to Dorney Park (the reason for our trip) and the PA Turnpike. The room was spacious and the beds were great. The cable TV was excellent too. The complimentary breakfast was a cut above most others with a wide variety of breakfast items. However, the heated pool was NOT heated and the water was cold. The day it rained and Dorney Park was closed we hoped to play in the pool; it was too cold. During our 4 day, 3 night stay the pool remained cold.

The biggest problem with this hotel is the traffic noise on Tilghman St. It is a highway and the traffic nosie was loud and constant. Make sure you have an odd numbered room, the even numbered rooms face Tilghman St.

Brand new hotel close to Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom. Very Clean, Comfortable and Affordable. They even upgraded us to a 1 bdrms suite we didn't even ask. In the 1 bdrm suite there was a king bed, and queen bed and a pull out dble couch, small refridgerator, micro, desk and plenty of extra seating. They offer free continental buffet brkfst w/ your stay (fruit, yogurt, donuts, waffles <made by you> , pastry, cereal, oatmeal, tea, milk, juice&coffee)it was quick, easy and convenient. Room included, Free internet access, free local and long distance phone calls, workout room & pool (only open til 8pm).

We stayed at Best Western Allentown 3 nights for a Dorney Park visit. PROS: nice, clean, new hotel, relatively large room with beautiful tile bathroom, decent complimentary breakfast, convenient to Dorney Park, restaurants, CVS and a gas station across the street. CONS: COLD indoor pool, tile bathroom floor slippery when wet, very noisy Tilghman Street location. We got very little sleep because of the heavy truck and motorcycle traffic all night long right outside our window. Would stay here again, but next time INSIST ON AN ODD NUMBERED ROOM AWAY FROM THE TILGHMAN STREET SIDE. Tip: ask for a TV channel guide when checking in. For good food, try Trivet Diner and Marconi's Italian take-out about 2 miles east on Tilghman Street.
