This is our fifth stay at the Willows in Ashland and the recent additions have made the property even more beautiful and comfortable. This is an oasis close to town but out in such a gorgeous setting that sometimes we forgo tickets and stay close to home to take advantage of the pool on that hot summer afternoon and enjoy the pace. Breakfast is always a three-course delight and the new balcony that overlooks the vista is so special. innkekepers Kara and Dan have really made Country Willows their own.

Room Tip: Try to get a suite or the cottage if available. Sunrise has a lovely balcony and the Cottage is on...

We've been going to the Shakespeare Festival for 29 years, and once we discovered Country Willows, we've never stayed anywhere else. The Inn is lovely, surrounded by beautiful meadows and hills with nice walking trails. Dan and Kara are wonderful hosts. The breakfasts are superb, particularly in the new breakfast room with wonderful views overlooking the countryside. Cleo the goat and all the ducks and geese in the pond add to the welcome. It's a short drive into the Festival area where all the theaters are.

Room Tip: Hard to choose - there's such a variety. We've stayed both in the outbuildings and in the h...

And my expectations were pretty high after reading all the wonderful reviews from other travelers....We wanted a quiet, peaceful place to relax for a few days, but near things to do as well. After much research I decided on the Pine Ridge Suite at the Country Willows. So much better than I even imagined.....wonderfully spacious and comfortable, completely equipped - even to plates, cutlery, and microwave, but the best was the private and shady patio looking out to the meadows and hills. So relaxing that we found ourselves giving up other activities to return there, even eating meals there rather than going out to a restaurant. Kara and Dan, the owners, have thought of everything that their guests might want and the Friday concert on their shady lawn was wonderful. Elegant hors d'oeuvre, good wine, beautiful views and some really good music! We did attend a play at the Shakespeare Festival (after some brushing up from the Inn's excellent collection of books) visited wineries, bought cheese, but the highlight was always returning to the Country Willows to watch the deer and the geese, give Clementine the goat a scratch behind the ears, and know that anything we might want was close at hand. The amazing breakfasts have been described by other reviewers and they were absolutely accurate...unique, tasty, and even more enjoyable on the deck of the new breakfast room which offers spectacular views of the mountains. We rarely vacation at the same place more than once, but I can see us returning to the Country Willows regularly, to experience it in all seasons. Thank you Kara and Dan for providing such a lovely break from the workaday world!

We're grateful to have found Country Willows Inn through Trip Advisor and highly recommend it. In fact, we can’t wait to return.

We stayed there for three nights this past weekend while attending the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The Inn is about a 10-minute drive from the Festival, and parking was plentiful in the downtown area.

The Inn is peaceful, and the main house has a porch on the second story where you can sit and look out at the mountains. I heard their geese and saw deer on the open land just next to the Inn. It’s peaceful to sit there with a cup of coffee…the stress and worries just recede.

The rooms are comfortable and breakfast was delicious each day. They also have great tasting coffee. In addition, there were little touches like fresh-baked cookies that would appear on a platter in the afternoons (oatmeal and bacon cookies!). To walk those off, they have several hiking trails that are behind the property.

Kara and Dan, the owners, really care about their guests. We look forward to our next visit.

This is a lovely B&B NOT in town but close to town. Thus, it is quiet and relaxing place to be. It is not the typical B&B because it has acres of pastoral lands surrounding it. You truly feel as though you are miles from the city while being very close. They also have a swimming pool, which is unusual for B&Bs, so that adds another dimension to the relaxing atmosphere. The breakfasts are delicious and plenty - we had a wonderful puffed pancake with blueberry sauce that was divine! I had visited with some gal pals to attend the Shakespeare Festival, and liked Country Willows so much that my husband and I are returning again in September to see a few more plays but mainly to enjoy the weekend in Country Willows.

Room Tip: The hayloft Suite has the most fabulous bathroom I've ever seen - a large jacuzzi tub plus a not...
