“Best Way to Enjoy the Festival”

The Arden Forest Inn is now a regular stop on our annual trip through Oregon. We originally booked it because it looked pretty and had a pool (Ashland can get very hot in the summer). On arriving, the setting and pool were was even nicer than the pictures. The large backyard is a beautiful and peaceful place to relax and perhaps sip a glass of wine.

The rooms are very nice and always spotless. The location is quiet - great for sleeping and relaxing during the day. Breakfast is always delicious, although seldom low-calorie (you can request an alternative). Corbett and Bill (the co-owners) are always there to stimulate conversation at breakfast and never fail to hold strong opinions about the plays at the Shakespeare Festival. With rare exception, we've enjoyed meeting the other guests, many of whom are regulars like us.

The Festival is walkable (a little more than 1/2 mile away) and so we always walk to the plays.

Our family just stayed at the Arden Forest Inn for the 5th year in a row. Vacations don't get better than this. For visitors to Ashland for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, or for those just passing through this beautiful town, the best B&B is the Arden Forest Inn. Corbet and Bill are wonderful, friendly and intelligent hosts with a great sense of humor. This past weekend, they provided invaluable insight into the plays that we were attending. The conversation over breakfast is always lively and fun and only matched by the absolutely delicious homemade meal. The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully maintained. The garden is perfect for a quiet time to read or a nap in the hammock. A dip in the pool is great on a hot day. The festival is in walking distance. I felt compelled to write this review even at the risk of making it more difficult for me to book our 6th stay next year when readers discover this gem...I'll just have to book early!

“For a really good time!”

Arden Forest Inn

Jul 16, 2008

A truly magical and fun place! We booked one night here at the last minute and wished we could stay for our whole trip.
The hosts made breakfast so much fun, getting all the guests to interact and get to know each other, and entertaining us with their opinions of Ashland , the plays, and life.
The rooms were imaculate and very tastefully decorated, comfortable and homey, the garden is gourgeous and the pool so refreshing after a long drive.
It felt more like visiting at a good friends home than staying in a hotel, and the biscuits are to die for!
Just go

All of the positive comments in other reviews are true. We found comfortable, super-clean rooms in a lovely setting, delicious breakfasts, and the most congenial, fun, funny, knowledgeable, generous-with-their-time hosts you'll ever meet. We enjoyed meeting the other guests and "talking theater" over breakfast each morning.

This was our first visit to the Arden Forest Inn, but it won't be our last. In fact, I can honestly say that this was the most enjoyable B&B stay that we have ever had, anywhere.

One of the highlights of our yearly trips to Ashland, OR, is our stay at Arden Forest Inn. We are greeted like old friends and enjoy visiting with our hosts and the other guests. We look forward to breakfast each day, which is always delicious. The guests and hosts share ideas and impressions of the plays they've attended. Our room is comfortable and welcoming. We are looking forward to our stay in May and Sept. of this year.
