We recently stayed in the Bard's Inn on a stopover back to California. The location was good -- within walking distance of all restaurants and the Shakespeare Theatre. However, upon arrival at the hotel, we found out there was no parking available in the hotel lot so we were told to find street parking. This was an inconvenience for us since we had four suitcases to carry up and down the streets. The room was clean and air conditioned...although I did see an ant in the bathroom. Although our booking told us we would have high-speed wireless internet available in the room, this service was not working for the two days we were there. This was extremely frustrating and when we asked if there could be some kind of compensation, the receptionist replied that we were already receiving a "AAA" discount, even though this has nothing to do with the malfunctioning internet. Breakfast was standard - cereal, bread, bagels, fruit and coffee. All in all, its a good location for its price, but service could be a lot better.
