Best Western Bards Inn is by far the best experience I have ever had with a hotel! They are in easy walking distance from the downtown and the staff is so helpful! This was the best four days of my life living in a hotel!
Even with 10 people behind me in line the front desk staff was eager to give me great reviews of nice restaurants! The staff also went out of their way to bring me extra pillows, and towels, even offering to bring my elderly mother and I breakfast from the breakfast room because we were leaving before breakfast on our day of departure. I should mention that this hotel does not have a concierge service. So these people went above and beyond!
As I understand it this hotel has four buildings, we were in what is called "Bard's One." I guess this is the oldest of the four but I never would have known! The paint job on the outside of the building is fresh and clean, the parking lot is liter free and the gardens out front are so beautiful, they won best yard of the month last year! (See this is how friendly and knowlegable the staff is!) So then stepping into the room it was immaculately clean! Infact after the room was cleaned each morning, it looked brand new! There was a half wall in between the two beds which we didn't necissarily need, however I kept thinking to myself that this would be great for a family of four!
I am not very computer savy, but I did bring along my labtop on accident and come to find out they have free wireless internet,or DSL ports in the office, which I personally preferred.
Another free addition to the room was the continental breakfast. The Bard's Inn has a "baker" which home makes all of the breads, muffins, cookies, and bars. What a wonderful cook! The breakfast also includes: cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, oatmeal, and all kinds of drinks!
All in all I AM COMING BACK EVERY YEAR for years to come!
