It looked good at first, a full dining room ( though too many tables in the room caused us to often be face -to- butt with the servers as they tried to get at the tables next to us), but it soon became clear that our 35 to 50 dollar per person meal , plus a selection from a very high priced( unimaginative) wine list as there were few selections by the glass ....was turinng into a waste of money.
It's a four course prixe fixe menu where you have a choice of pasta and protein, flanked by an antipasto plate ( unimaginative but fresh) and a salad. I can't bear to live through the meal again in detail, so suffice to say that when an Italian restaurant serves overcooked pasta and seafood ,it's a food felony, nevermind the misdemeanor flavorlessness of the side dishes and the kind, though very careless and unpolished service which was in harmony with the level of competance in the kitchen.
Those seated near us were underwhelmed as well...we heard one man say "While none of these items has any flavor, if I put them all into one mouthful, it;s not too bad."
With those prices, one is entitled to at least good quality, well turned dishes and adequate service. Otherwise, you end up feeling"taken"....which is certainly the result of our visit there.
