We were able to snag a last-minute reservation here and mostly enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent and the portions were small, which is good, since it's a four-course meal. We spent a month in Tuscany and feel the food compared favorably with the best we had there. We didn't care for the odd combination of Tuscany and renovated Craftsman, but fortunately that didn't reflect on the cooking. Our only complaint was the service: excellent but so slow we couldn't order coffee and dessert since we had an 8 o'clock play: something we had mentioned when we made our reservations and which is common in this theater city. One caveat: if you take a non-sugar sweetener in your tea or coffee, take it along: they don't seem to have anything but sugar.
