“Great spot to celebrate”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

The service was impeccable and the dining room beautiful. The appetizer selection platter was out of this world especially the potato salad. Two out of the three meals rated above average...one just ok. There was a good wine selection by the glass and my granddaughter enjoyed her birthday dessert. I would definitely give this another try when I am back in ashland.

“Not my idea of peerless!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

We were very 'underwhelmed' with the Peerless Restaurant experience. The sauce on the lamb meatballs tasted as though it were made with Worcestershire sauce, the highly recommended vegetable melange was NOT anything I would recommend, and the best dish of the night turned out to be the Grand Marnier Chocolate Truffle cake, which we suspected was not house made.

Server was very sweet, but inept - misunderstood the dessert order, and completely left out two of the items we ordered.

I recommend you not 'peer' into this restaurant, but rather choose another!

“Like an old home!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

An old favorite when we visit Ashland ; inside or outside food and service is good! We found the restaurant quite by accident more than 10 years ago.The plays in Ashland have always been great and so was the dining. We even cycled the countryside on our tandem bicycle a couple of times.

“A gem with...easy parking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

One of the most fun, well-managed, delicious restaurants in Ashland. Great service, superb food and a very pleasant atmosphere made for a memorable night for the three of us. Mark, the manager, stepped up when it got busy and acted as waiter, sommolier and tour guide. Check out his suite of wine half-bottles. Very, very impressive (try the 2010 Woodward Canyon cab. Excellent!)

The garden setting was wonderful and the location, away from the hubub of downtown, is perfect. Parking? Right across the street.

We'll be back.

“Even on Rainy Evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

We love the Peerless on a nice summer's eve. The patio is terrific, but even on a rainy day the deck was nice. Had many of the small plates and shared with our friends. Everyone enjoyed! The Oreo house made gelato was to die for!!!
