“Great ambiance and food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

We've eaten here several times now and have loved every visit. This is the only place we know in Ashland where you can sit and relax, comfortably, for hours and graze, have a few drinks or some wine, and not feel pressured to leave. We find the service relaxed, not slow, and enjoy being given as much time as we want to savor the food (the steak tartare is the best we've ever had). In particular, if you're a knitter, there is no better place in Ashland.

“Nice place to relax”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2012

They have a nice selection of wine flights and usually have good choice by the glass though I've never had a glass that knocked me out. They have good acoustic singer-songwriter type music in the evening which is a plus. If you like wine you should stop in, kick back, and enjoy this nice oasis.

“Wine, Food, and Shakespeare”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2012

A comfortable and casual dining experience, close to performance venue. Excellent wine list and spirits menu. We were 'early birds' for dinner so can't speak for more popular eating times, and may have helped with attentive service. Our two meals were an excellent Lobster Risotto,(slightly over salted) and an Alaskan Halibut that my friend devoured. We shared a very good Warm Chevre salad. We started with a well-prepared classic martini (dirty) and the La Luz, a tequilla specialty drink and a fresh baguette with balsamic and oil. We enjoyed a glass of Proseco with our meal.
Definitely would return on another visit.

“Jim is the asset!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2012

So what does one do when in Ashland Oregon besides go to the theatre? They look for good pinots. Not only did we find the wine but the owner was delightful and extremely knowledgeable.
May I suggest going to the wine store before going any place else when traveling because the wine merchants not only know good wine but good food and where to go get good food.
We kind of worked it backwards on this trip. Ashland is a delightful town and cannot wait to go back during the summer months.

“Relaxed atmosphere, excellent food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2012

Liquid Assets is known as a wine bar, but it is also a restaurant. It was recommended to us by the proprietor of our B & B. The service was excellent and when the bar didn't have what we asked for, the waitress worked with the bartender to approximate what we wanted and it was successful. The food choices were limited but they were delicious. I had the mushroom carbonara and my friend ordered the lobster risotto.

The atmosphere was casually elegant and we had a long, leisurely, very enjoyable repast. Highly recommend!
