“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

This is a nice hotel. No real amenities, but the beds are VERYcomfortable and the towels are thick and fluffy. I didn't try the breakfast, but it didn't look very good. Since we had a frig in the room we just kept yogurt and berries for breakfast. It would be nice if they a "pantry" like the Hi.ton Garden Inns do for late night snacks or wine.
It is about 3 miles outside of town, but not a bad drive. The best part was that there is a new brewery that has opened about 1/2 a block away - Caldera. Our first night we discovered it and went up for a drink after dinner, ended up having 3 since we could walk back to the hotel.

Clean, quiet, comfy beds, pool, breakfast, pleasant and helpful staff...our room was giant with an extra couch and TV. Seriously, a great stay. Not one complaint. There were even four towels for four people.

All staff, especially the 9:30pm welcoming front desk manager on July17. Our reservation and registry for our late arrival & reservation was "top drawer". This is our 3 rd stay this year at this property and really enjoy our stays here.

Strayed here one night while visiting the university this summer trying to determine if school is a good fit for my child. Staff was friendly, breakfast good and rooms clean. Bed was comfortable. No complaints except perhaps wi-fi was a bit slow.

Ashland has dozens of good places to eat downtown, and the city park is worth a visit as well.

On family vacation in Ashland, this hotel is giving the Marriott chain a run for their money. The cleanliness, helpfulness of staff, and the premium towels and price of room outstanding! This hotel is very close to the Shakespeare festival and the mall. Front desk gave us great directions for restaurants and consignment stores.
We are on a budget with kids helps when you shop used clothing stores, bought $300. MBT shoes there for $50. A great find. Love the kitchen in our room, makes making popcorn at midnight for teenagers a breeze.

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms near back exit, the door slams constantly.

Stayed June 12 for five nights. Convenient for all activities . Close to I, 5 exit. Great people. Helpful and friendly. Amelia helpful at checkin.. Walter helpful at checkout. I left watch in room when checking out. Called Walter and he handled situation for me. Thanks Walter and Holiday Inn Express.

Driving down to California from Vancouver BC, glad we chose this hotel for an overnight stay to break up the journey.
Despite being by the highway, was very quiet room.
I loved the setting of the hotel, surrounding fields and mountains, even woke up early to watch the sun rise over the hills behind the hotel.

Amelia at the front desk was brilliant with a welcoming check in.
Nice gym.

Recommend stopping here in Ashland as opposed to busy Medford; plus you're only 10 miles from the Californian border.
