5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

We stayed here on our first night out and had driven from Orange County to Ashland. It was a long, fun day of driving, and we were so happy to start our vacation at Callahan's. Our room was exquisite, with beautiful decor, hand-carved accents, a fireplace and a jacuzzi. We had opted for the "sleep and dine" package with $100 towards dinner and breakfast. After a glass of wine on our balcony, we walked down to the lovely dining room and charming deck area. There was a guitarist playing, so we decided to take an inside table. The service and the food was some of the best we have ever had. The smoked salmon platter was amazing! After a restful night in our comfy bed, we enjoyed a multi-course breakfast on the deck - which was the perfect way to start our day. The waitress was super nice and even checked with the rest of the staff on the most scenic route to Crater Lake. All in all, it was absolutely perfect! Oh, and don't miss their cute gift shop, great items and local wines at very reasonable prices.

Room Tip: Ask for a second or third floor room to enjoy the balcony and the view.

last tuesday, my husband surprised me with a night at callhans. he had purchased some sort of package which included dinner, the room and breakfast. after a cold, misty hike on mt. ashland, there was nothing better than taking a hot tub, next to the crackling fire. we stayed in the very same room as we did on the evening of our wedding. it was so nice to return to it.

dinner, drinks, and breakfast in bed were all great. furthermore, the staff - ranging from the room service waiter to the owner, were all very warm and helpful.

needless to say, we will be back to celebrate our anniversary in the future. thank you for the special experience!

What a pleasant surprise to find such a warm and comfortable lodge. Employees are nice and restaurant served good food. We travel a lot between Washington and California and plan to make Callahan's our new place to rest and relax.

This place was THE perfect place for my 3 day getaway with my husband. The room was beautiful, I loved the stone fireplace. And the Jacuzzi!? Amazing. Highly recommend the dinner and breakfast special for those who need the getaway, pretty great value once I broke it down. 15 minutes out of Ashland, but in the mountains... Beautiful.

We spent 2 nights there and we only live about 20 miles away. We heard how nice it was from a friend and thought we would have a romantic weekend. The room was so nice with a jacuzzi and a fireplace. There was also a nice deck to over look the trees. The dining room is very nice and the food was very good. They had a gentlemen singing and playing a guitar the nights we were there. The service was nice and a very pleasant experience.
During the summer the patio is open to eat and they have fabulous flowers surrounding the deck.
We enjoy it there,
We just purchased a package deal for a friend for a night, dinner for two and breakfast for $199.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the grassy area and it was back in the corner. Very nice.

This is a lovely establishment. Nice, comfy rooms, Pleasant staff - true hospitality. Could only stay one night due to a family emergency but on our return trip back home to California, we stopped to have the breakfast we missed out on in our rush. My husband is still raving about the Siskiyou Scramble with smoked salmon.

Room Tip: Don't be afraid to venture off the beaten track, you might just find a jewel in the woods!

My daughter was married recently at Callahans with approximately 160 guests, many of whom stayed at the lodge. The lodge rooms are excellent, with the most comfortable beds and pillows you could ask for, as well as a fireplace and whirlpool tub in each room! The wedding was spectacular in this most beautiful and unique setting! The owners and staff were very helpful with all needs and the food was excellent. Many of our guests commented on how excellent the food was for the dinner, and the guests who stayed at the lodge and ate breakfast there the next morning enjoyed a wonderful brunch meal. I cannot recommend this lodge highly enough, if you are thinking about a romantic get-away for two, or a family holiday, or an important occasion such as a wedding, this is the place!
