“Wonderful finish to our 20th anniversary getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2011

My wife and I stayed two nights in August. The bed was comfortable, the towels fluffy and the robes plush. Other amenities were the spa tub and the large bathroom with two sinks. (For us, that is luxury.) Didn't use the fireplace because it was in the 90s during our stay.

The breakfast was very good and we ate on the large deck the second morning. The grounds are well maintained and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We both highly recommend this location.

We went into Ashland a couple of times and even thought the lodge is outside of town, it's a quick drive.

One surprise we had is that the balcony is shared with the suite next door. My wife was outside in her robe when the man next door stepped outside. They were both surprised!

We'll definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 23. Quiet.

We have stayed here twice. The first time we stayed, we moved rooms because our room filled with smoke from the fireplace, but then our second room did the same thing! If you use their fireplace, do not just light it and expect it to work. You need to rearrange the set up because they don't lay a very good fire. (yes we checked the damper and did all that boy-scout stuff) They were very nice about it though and even gave us a gift card for a second stay. This time, we didn't attempt to make a fire and everything was fine.
One of the most comfy beds anywhere! I believe every room has an in-room hot tub which is awesome. The food is great and they welcome your dog! You get a credit to use towards breakfast and can even use it for room service. Very romantic place. The corner room seemed more secluded and romantic to us.
The trail around the property was in good repair on our first stay but was not maintained well during our second stay.

Room Tip: The corner rooms are more secluded

Enjoyable food was served in a beautiful (and convenient) setting off I-5 - the deck was overlooking the woods where many species of birds could be seen. The gourmet pizza was fantastic. The dessert, a chili-chocolate cake, was absolutely decadent and delicious, I will be going back for that one! Service was satisfactory if not completely to my liking, but did not distract from my experience.

Staff was amazing, anyone that wants to escape even for an evening, this is it. I travel up and down the I5 corridor for business, and pleasure, and am always looking for any reason to stop here. Hot tubs in the rooms, amazing views, and delectable food offerings, as well as a very friendly knowledgeable staff, make this one of the hidden gems offered in Southern Oregon.

Wow!!!! I have been coming to Callahan's for years but my most recent experience has surpassed all other experiences at Callahan's. Just when I thought this place could not get any better they slightly change the menu and improve the food dramatically. Our most recent stay at the lodge was amazing. The dinner we had was one of the best we ever had. The service was amazing, and as always the best rooms with excellent extra's in the rooms. I would recommend this place to anybody looking for just dinner or a getaway weekend.

Nice Jacuzzi, loved hearing the fountain outside. So glad to have Callahan's back! Grew up locally and have eaten at all locations including the original little restaurant across the hiqhway. Thanks

We made reservations 4 months in advance and had great expectations of a Valentine's Day stay at Callahan's with a sweetheart package.
After driving over 100 miles, we sat down at the bar only to be ignored for 15 minutes by the grouchiest old bartender ever!!! The bar wasn't all that busy and he was throwing empty bottles in a box so loudly that it startled us every time.
When we finally were seated at our table and our dinner arrived, all four of us sent it back because it was cold! - then it came back nuked and very over cooked, we sent it back and all of us went to bed hungry!
The room was decent but we were put in the basement rooms #11 & 12 - it was so noisy we hardly slept - We finally called the front desk to complain about the noise and there was no apology just an explanation that the kitchen and dining room were cleaning up and they should be done in about an hour. We woke up exhausted and hungry. Breakfast was cold and it took 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee!!!!!!!!!!
