“Two Great Plays”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2012

We try to make it up to Ashland every year and made a last minute trip this weekend. We enjoyed the madcap humor of Animal Crackers and loved the sets and acting in Troilus and Cressida. The production was great with the thought provoking setting in the Middle East and references linking wars in ancient history to those of today. But as happens so often when we see Shakespeare, I would have preferred a happy ending. If Will S. were still alive, he and I would have a chat about that.

“Great shows!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2012

We saw three plays. We are members and love the benefits. Also we are in the 19-35 category and really appreciate the ticket discounts. The best show we saw was Troilus and Cressida. We saw Seagull which was well done but the story itself is depressing. The Animal Crackers performance was well staged and funny but missed the mark for me. Imaginary invalid with many of the same skilled performers made much better use of people's talents. We will return again it was a wonderful weekend.

“Too much money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

I understand that it's mainly out of state tourists that go to the plays, but they are just too expensive for us home town Oregonians.

“If you aren't familiar with theater it will convert you if you are this is top notch.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012 via mobile

Saw Animal Crackers and Seagull. Both excellent. Have taken the 5 hour journey to Ashland 5-6 times, never disappointed with OSF. Tickets are pricey, especially if you book last minute, ditto lodging.

We try to make it to one play every year as we drive south and north to Portland. We love the town and the great plays...
