I have had pretty good experiences in La Quinta hotels, but this one was a disaster....I was told my room # was 117 which I assumed was on the first floor- nope! it is in a 'half-basement' the window is at ground level and has no security latch. A window air conditioner with a broken knob and grille occupies half of the window leaving little light or ventilation in this tiny nasty room. The room stunk, the curtains were dark and yellow. The carpet had been installed poorly and was not stretched so it had large wrinkles in it. And, to top it all off, the occupants of the room above me walked around their room all night and each time they did so the ceiling in this decrepit disgusting room loudly creaked. I complained about the room and was moved to a room on another floor which was much better, but shame on the management for renting out those nasty ugly basement rooms....I have written to La Quinta corporate, I hope they care enough about their reputation to intervene here.
