This hotel is a wonderful little gem. The bed in my room had a pillow top on the mattress and it felt like a big feather bed, way better than my own bed! The room decor was pretty and items were well placed though the room was small. There was also a nice quality multiple setting shower head in the bath. On top of that I had a view of three beautiful aspen trees right outside my window. The only negative was the traffic noise, but honestly what hotel next to a freeway is not going to have that? I just turned on the AC and tuned it out. My cat stayed with me for free, and she loved the feather bed too and slept on one side all night long.

Not completely terrible but not okay either (helpful, friendly staff a big plus)...The biggest problem we encountered while staying at the Albany La Quinta was the traffic noise, it was really awful and was so not worth the reduced rate we paid. The cost in lost sleep and jangled nerves was way too high. To make matters worse the room smelled so bad we had to have the window open, so there was no escaping the noise. There was a road rage incident about 11:30 with horns blaring and screaming of profanities...not fun. The staff was extremely competent, helpful and friendly but the hotel was booked so it was not possible to change rooms. We had reservations for 2 more nights and they said they could move us to the parking lot side away from the highway but we were ready to be done with this hotel and canceled our reservations for the next 2 nights. The hotel otherwise was ok, good breakfast and the staff were great. We always try to stay at La Quinta's when we travel and have had many good stays at other locations so this was pretty disappointing. If you do stay here just try to get a room in the front of the building, the parking lot side, unless you are a really heavy sleeper or like the sound of a busy highway.

Advertised as a pet friendly Inn. You will pay about 90 dollars for a small room with dated decor, a small pool open sometimes, and a workout room that really is just a hotel room under renovation with a few pieces of broken equipment. The breakfast is usual rolls and coffee with some eggs occassionally making a visit.

Next to freeway and McDonalds, it is a busy, loud area. Yes there is a small pet area but it is dangerously close to roads.

Keep looking unless you are traveling with pets. If headed to coast, wait until Newport with lots of inns for literally half this price and twice the space.

The managers are doing an ok job but the place is old, small, loud, and in way too busy a location. There is a gas station convenience store nearby as plus, uh I think that's a plus?

I would avoid the west side of the freeway and stay on the east. Albany is just as close, the hotels are newer, less busy and noisy with more room for pets, and less expensive.
