I booked 12 rooms at this hotel in the fall of 2010 for our select baseball team. We were playing in huge tournament in April of 2011 in Ardmore, OK. This location was less than 3 minutes away from the ball park were going to be playing. I booked so far in advance due to the number teams that would be staying in the same area. On April 8th, 2011 the Friday before we were suppose to arrive, I received a phone call from the hotel confirming our teams arrival time on April 15th, 2011. Needless to say that on April 11, I received a phone call from the hotel Manager (Karen Morgan) stating that we no longer have the 12 room reservations because a "company/someone" has decided to extend their stay until April 21st to finish a project taking placing in the city. I could not believe it!! Then she proceeded to say that she had found us along with other guest of the hotel more rooms at a Days Inn located in Gainesville, Tx because Ardmore, Ok hotels were completely booked. Gainesville is at least about another 30 MINUTES AWAY!!! So not only was it a further drive since we are traveling from central texas but to think that she was doing us a favor by placing in a Days Inn hotel. I was told that it is a state law and that she couldn't force the current occupants out of the rooms. I do not understand it!!! I would think that it would be as simple to say to your current guest, "Unfortunatly, I cannot extend your stay for this weekend, because these rooms are already reserved".This is horrible customer service!! Not to mention that we (LaQuinta Returns Elite Club Members) travel around the USA 9 months out the year and always book 9-12 rooms. I guess our money is not as good as the current occupants and our reservation means nothing!!!!!
You may or may not have a room!
