“It was quiet and clean, a nice place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2011

All that we expected was a comfortable place to sleep, but we got more than that. Had we wanted, the indoor pool was available to us for a bit of swimming and relaxing before bed. And that king sized bed was very comfortable with room for both of us to stretch out in it. We had a good number of TV channels to choose from and the picture was very clear on the room's TV. In the morning, the shower was great as there was plenty of water pressure and the shower would have been useful for a person well over six feet tall. The breakfast served at the Raintree was exceptional. One did not have to make anything as all items including cheese omelettes were cooked and ready to go. The coffee was good as well as the juice, so the Raintree Motor Inn gave one no excuse for checking out hungry. The staff was very helpful at checkout explaining how to get to where we were going, so we got there without any difficulty. If we are ever staying a night in Ada, OK again, we will go back to this Best Western motel.

I stayed 3 days while on business. IT was between this and the Holiday Inn which was more expensive. Having stayed at many Best Westerns across the mountain states and Canada I based my choice on past experience and reputation. I was not disappointed at all. The spoke with several staff and all were very nice. The room was clean and the breakfast was great (nicely done cheese omelets and biscuits and gravy). The front desk clerk gave great recommendations on where to eat and told me about the town of Ada. If I travel there again, this is where I'll stay. The only wonky thing is the parking lot, there's no way to really turn around on one side and the other goes under the building around a sharp turn--not bad just wonky

Thank you for your review of our property.

Sadly our parking is much tighter than we would like and we do wish there was a way to improve the parking area however we are kind of stuck with it at this point.

I am glad you enjoyed our breakfast; we feel it is a reasonable way to start the day and our morning staff does take pride in preparing small batches so that it is as fresh as possible.

We do appreciate your kind words and look forward to serving you on your next trip to Ada.

This hotel had a nice hot breakfast; good high speed internet; however, it does need a good cleaning in both the lobby and rooms. Also......although the Best Western web site indicates it takes pets -- a sign at the check-in desk indicates they do not. Fortunately we did not have our pet. This could have been a major problem. Beds were fine. Towels were thin and minimal.

While this review is a couple of years old, I did want to let everyone know that since this review, we have made several changes to resolve the issues listed in this review. We have changed our housekeeping supervisor along with giving our new supervisor more training and the ability to have more authority to resolve issues on her own. We have also replaced all of our furniture, bed covers and other soft goods in our rooms. While at this time our photos are not displaying the changes, we do have a company coming in to take new photos and also to create a new virtual tour of our property. We hope to have the new photos in the near future.

My boyfriend and I traveled to Ada, Oklahoma a week before Thanksgiving to visit his family for an early holiday. Finding a hotel seemed difficult, since all the hotels/motels generally had bad reviews, but I noticed the detail about Dot and her breakfast in other reviews for the Best Western. We decided to go with the Best Western because it was closer to my boyfriend's mother's home and because the hot breakfast provided by Holiday Inn is usually lackluster.

When we checked in to the inn, Dorothy, who seemed to be in charge of the place, was reasonably friendly and got us in our room directly. Our room was very well maintained and the bed was very comfortable. The housekeeping was friendly and accommodating to our travel plans. One day, a housekeeper agreed to come in the afternoon to tidy up since we had slept in late. She always did an excellent job and stayed out of our way.

Dot makes a wonderful country breakfast and keeps it coming fresh every morning except Monday. She's a very friendly, welcoming lady who fixed fresh scrambled eggs for my boyfriend and refilled our juice and coffee regularly. This may or may not be of interest to whoever is reading it, but: her bacon is perfect. Bacon lovers know what I am talking about. And you can have all you want, including the best biscuits and gravy I've had in a while.

There are two things one may find to complain about regarding this establishment. I would call them character-builders, but you can be the judge. Firstly, the decor is slightly out-dated. You can see the age of the place in the style of the architecture, but the kitschy-ness of it all is kind of charming. Also, the bedrooms do look like they were decorated by an elderly woman except for the wall directly next to the bed that is made up entirely of mirror. If you and the person you are staying with decide to copulate during your stay you might find this to be a plus or a minus. My boyfriend and I found it to be a plus.

In general, the place has a very make-yourself-at-home feel, but book ahead of time because it seems to fill up very quickly for weekend stays.

Decent older hotel. Not as clean as I would have liked, but not gross. Front desk lady was super helpful. Breakfast was great!!
Problably would stay there again as the rate was fair.

We stayed at the Raintree while visiting family for Christmas. this hotel gets the best rating in Ada. the room is very clean, Dorothy at checkin is very friendly. I love Dot who makes breakfast special. biscuits, toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and gravy along with fruit, muffins, etc. The only problem we had was that housekeeper forgot coffee, cream and or coffe cups for the room, most every day. just aggravating. We also could hear the newborn crying next door and some drunk tenants one night.

  • Liked — hot breakfast every day but Monday
  • Disliked — having to always ask for coffee, cups or creamer for room.

My work requires me to spend around 10 weeks a year in Ada (luckily not all at one time!). I have tried every hotel in Ada and the Best Western is by far the best. The desk staff are very friendly and will take care of whatever you need. The rooms are about what you would expect for a Best Western in a small town, but are head and shoulders above anywhere else in Ada. They are usually very clean and well maintained. The best part of the stay is the free buffet breakfast. The buffet includes hot items such as bacon, sausage, eggs, and biscuits and gravy in addition to toast. We always send all of our staff to this hotel and wouldn't imagine going anywhere else!
