“Kind Staff, Comfortable Rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Again, clean sheets and a decent price. I'm not picky when it comes to my hotel choices, and very satisfied when the staff is friendly and the breakfast has a decent selection, which was the case with this hotel. The only negative is that the bathroom is the tiniest I've ever had in a hotel.

No place on the sink to leave toiletries, and no way to move around inside the bathroom when the door, toilet, tub, and sink share the same 18 inches of entry space.

But the space was quiet and clean, and within walking distance of a handful of different restaurants, as well as a Walmart and a Kohls, so I'd stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel Sept 2nd on our way back home from Cedar Point. Motel was right off the interstate which was a plus. The rooms were clean and spacious. The only complaint I had was that the outside door that we had to use, our keycard wouldn't open it and I had to go to the front desk and tell them it wasn't working. They just told me I would have to carry my things up from the lobby. So I just went around from the lobby to where we were parked and let me husband and friend in, so we could go straight to our room! No other complaints than this tho, the room was great. The beds were decent, was a great price for the room!

My son and I really liked this hotel. It was convenient to the Football Hall of Fame, golf, and dining. We even went to the movie theater down the street. The room was clean and the breakfast was great. I would stay here again.

Here for soap box derby week so all the Akron hotels jack up their prices for the guaranteed income from families. Good location and does have a pool. Breakfast is good For this price...no fridge, no microwave? No elevator. Hallways are like a sauna. If they take your towels in the morning, they don't have enough to replace them until the next day. We called for an extra blanket, but they didn't have any. Beds incredibly hard.

Room Tip: Go the extra for the deluxe room. Sounds like they may be better.

Nothing fancy, but beds are comfortable and the pool was refreshing on a steamy hot day.

I have to say that we were definitely skeptical of this hotel when we pulled up to it. It has the look of one of those early 80s, 2-story hotels. The parking lot was empty. And then my wife got hassled at the front desk because we made our reservation through travelocity. They "weren't sure" if they were going to have a non-smoking room. I'll repeat. The parking lot was empty.

But the rooms have been fully updated. They're clean. Large flat-screen TV. Mini-fridge and microwave. A nice bathroom. It turned out to be a really nice stay.

Room Tip: Don't let the outside of the hotel deceive you!

The Quality Inn was clean and comfortable. They have made progress in updating by painting and renovating the bathrooms. The furniture and TVs still need to be replaced. It is a great location, and I would consider staying there again, depending on the pricing of other hotels.
