We LOVE the NC Zoological Park! We have visited many times and always find something new to marvel over. Summer is hot at the zoo, but there are numerous trees and the walking paths are shaded. Many of the indoor attractions are air-conditioned for a break from the heat. We think fall and spring are the best times for a visit but it is fun in the winter too! The Polar Bears love the cold weather and are very active when it is colder. Take a picinic! The food is okay, but everyone loves a picinic lunch. There is a great little play area for the kids that gives parents and grandparents a much needed break near the Polar Bear exhibit. No straws or lids are allowed in the park, bring plenty of bottled water, or purchase it at the park. Have a great time visiting with the animals!
