“Great Pizza”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2012

The South has very few good pizza places. The great ones are even fewer. Ianucci's is GREAT!!! The pizza ... calzones ... salads ... cannoli ... ALL HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! The Hendersonville location is equally good.

“It was a pretty good meal”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2011

My family and I went to this well known place to find some good pizza. It was not the prime lunch time, and these are the holidays, but this mostly empty restaurant felt like it was searching for an image and ambience. The server was a nice sort and she was certainly competent. The pizza was pretty good, with most of the flavor coming from the spiced sausage. This city has a generous number of pizza establishments, and sadly several are much better for no difference in cost or comfort. If you are very close and don't want to drive a longer distance to the better pizza joints, you will not be displeased.

“Heaven in Asheville”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2008

I love this place. Found it years ago while on the staff at Ridgecrest, and never miss the opportunity to go back whenever I'm in town. Miss Evelyn (a national treasure!!) has retired, but still stops by, I'm told. The food is altogether wonderful, and this is one of the few places where every member of the family can have his or her favorite. The salads are great, the pizzas as good as pizza gets, and the sesame seed-covered bread sticks are absolutely mouth-watering. Make sure to get extra marinara sauce! But the best kept secret in Bumcombe County is what used to be called pepperoni rolls and are now called baked subs, for some reason. They take their most excellent pizza dough, pile on the pepperoni, cheese, tomato sauce, and whatever other goodies you want, then fold it up and bake it. Yummy! And there is always enough left for a late night snack. The Ianucci family still runs the place, and they really go the extra mile to make customers happy. I only get back once a year or so, but without fail Johnny Ianucci comes out to say hello.
