“Great Ribs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

Tasty tender ribs and a wide variety of unique side dishes to go with them. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely a must do while in Asheville.

“Great food at great prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

If you like barbecue at all, you should definitely go to Twelve Bones when you are in Asheville. The place was suggested to us when we were visiting the River Arts District, and it was a great recommendation by one of the local artisans. My companion ordered a pulled pork plate with two sides, and I ordered a salad with a side of the chopped brisket. I was pleasantly surprised that the large salad was as good as any at a fancy restaurant in town--mesclun type lettuces, candied nuts, cheese, etc.--and the brisket was perfect. The pulled pork meal was equally good, and each cost no more than $6. We shared one huge slice of the best pecan pie I've ever had--worth every calorie! As with most barbecue joints, the dining room, while clean, was nothing fancy. But who cares, when the food is this good?

“One of the best we've had. A repeat for us”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

We first tried Twelve Bones during our move to SC and loved it. The portions are good and the taste is among the best we've had. They serve brisket, which is difficult to find here.

This is now a mandatory stop whenever we are driving through Asheville!

The hours are a bit limited.

“Make No Bones About It!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

The ribs are every bit as good as the Asheville restaurant which means delicious. Just like Asheville, the line was out the door but the line moves fairly quickly and is worth the wait, at any rate. Also, there is more parking and indoor seating than in Asheville. If you have never been to either restaurant be sure to try the jalapeno cheese grits side dish. The mac-n-cheese and corn bread are also excellent.
